hood clearance
This is how I solved my clearance problems after my 327 swap. Just got around to uploading the pics.
Also I just bought some 89 Iroc wheels, smokin deal. So my question is what is the best clearcoat-paint remover to use to refinish and polish them ? BTW I have 4 RS wheels for cheap, cheap....one more thing, on my 89 rs with cast drums do I HAVE to use the 1/4" spacer? or is it optional?
Thanks in advance, Thought I might post a pic or 2..

The spacers you are supposed to use, but I really doubt you'll run into any problems unless you do alot of canyon carving and your panhard bar bushings are shot.
I like the looks of a cowl hood, thinking I will need the Harwood 4" hood. With my poncho 400 with Holley Street Dominator intake, 2" spacer and Holley 800 dp, she will be sittin pretty high in my Camaro.

Thanks Madmax, It's been awhile since Ive posted any. I would have like to have seen the cowel scoop when I was looking at my options but I couldnt find any pics showing it in the unfinished state.....Hmmmmmmmmmm maybe thats what I should name my car..
Anyway it really moves alot of air..I couldn't imagine trying to look over a 4" scoop, mostly for straight ahead driving I think.
With my setup and a 1" spacer with the edelbrock 14x3 AC signature series, Just the top of the ac clears the hood. I think I will go to a 2" spacer.
Also I bought a new air dam Form Third Gen Resource, I must say they were a pleasure to deal with and the product is great.
So, any pointers on finishing the wheels? or should I post on another board ?

Yep it's the 2.5...I used pop rivets to mount it. Fairly easy job. although I did find out our motors are not centered in the engine bay.....they sit slightly to the drivers side...
pskel350.... This is an old post...
The rims are 15" stock.....Im gonna hold on to them for winter driving....The deal on the Iroc wheels went sour. Sorry...
