It ain't that much, but you gotta love it. I was at pepboys the other day and I seen the $15 B&M T-Handle shifter in the domestic aisle and got a idea.
Got it home, and the threads were too small inside the handle. (I think its like 1/2 in. and the stock one uses 5/8 18 thread).
I tapped the threads and didn't like how high it was, so I cut the shaft down, and ran a die in to make new threads. Looks so much better and I wasn't gonna pay 170 bucks for a ripper shifter anytime soon. Also took a 5/8 nut, put it in a lade to cut it in half, and that keeps the handle locked into place.

Oh, now its so much firmer when running through the gears too...

With the lowered 4th gen console, it looks kinda tall, and that is B&M Ripper down there as well.
