power locks wont work
I have a simple question. My power locks on my 91 tpi won't work. I press them and nothing happens at all. I checked all my fuses and they are all intact. What else can I check? Its got to be something electrical, right?. I just don't want to get the door panel out yet. Both doors have the same problem so I guess this problem is somewhere else in the electrical wiring etc. Is there somewhere else to look other than the fuse box?.

Well you could check all the wiring you can get to, right up 'til when it goes into the door, and then it sounds like your only other option will be fun with pulling door skins. But check all of your wiring first.
oh...did you try pressing the buttons on the passenger door yet?

Have they ever worked?
or did they just stop?
since one activates both doors, they must be on the same circuit.
Stuff you wanna ask yourself.
I don't think there's anything else to look for... might be something broken somewhere, a missing connection, get out the volt meter!

Trcikster, I checked the 35 amp fuse in the fude box and it is O K. In regards to the relay, I didn't know it had one. Where is it? Is it also in the fuse box and if so how can I distinguish it?. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

In your car it would be mounted behind the left kickpanel usually up above the hood release cable. Depending on whether you have power seats or not, the wiring will be as follows.
Pin "A" = light blue wire
Pin "B" = gray wire
Pin "C" = orange/black wire for power seats
Pin "D" = black wire
Pin "E" = tan wire
pin "F" = black wire

If you know enough about electricity to be able to use and read a meter I suggest starting at the motor and working your way back. Also pulling out a fuse and looking at it isnt allways the best way to do it I have seen one that didnt even look blown just play it save and use and ohmmeter to check it you should be looking for 0 ohms do this by touching both sides of the fuse(postive one side negative other) and dont touch your leads. You should try and back probe the fuse on the back of the fuse u will see two open metal parts used for just this. Ground your negative lead (make sure it's a good ground negative terminal of the battery is the best if you can get a hold of a long enough jumper). Move the postive probe to each side of the fuse u should see voltage around 12 on both sides. if its there its towards the power door locks. if not its goes back further away from the doorlocks. I think voltage should be present when the key is in the accesory postion. I can't remeber i'm sure someone else might be more sure.
It's kind of hard to pinpoint your problem from what you said but I will try and help you.
