Disable speed limeter? Possible?

So my camaro cuts out @ 110mph...well I wanted to know can this speed limeter be shut off? un-pluged? removed? etc.. or is it nessecery to get a new computer chip?

two ways, you can get a chip with the speed limiter set at 255mph or so -- thats one way. The other not so elegant solution is outlined on the tech articles page.

Transmission: Auto+shift Kit 3.73 gears
pull the ecm down

Pull the ECM down to where you can reach it and wire a on/off switch to the A10 wire its brown and white(I think A10) check the tech article for specifics. I wired a switch and put it on the panel by the window switches. I just hit it to off and 115+ I go
