ECM Wiring Questions...

First a fan question. I've heard that even though the bin contains on/off variables for Fan 2, it does not actually control when they go on/off. That it is in fact an A/C pressure sensor and a sperate temperature sensor. I know the temp sensor must feed data to the ECM but what about the A/C pressure sensor? I'm guessing it would too for maybe an error code or someting else. My point is how can I wire my ECM to actually control when Fan 2 goes on/off? I know I can buy a lower temp sensor but then I would be B.S.ing the signal to the computer right? Has anyone wired their Fan 2 so that the ECM controls it?

Second question is about WB O2. Where can I find information on wiring a Bosch WB O2 into the ECM so that my data logging will reflect the WB readings for better tunning during temps outside the range of the stock NB O2?

BTW I plan on getting all of the above accomplished using a 730 ECM wired as a 749 using the 3-bar $60.

Thanks!

Alex

While it sounds clever, there's no practical reason for running the independent 2 fan deal. If your trying to maintain a stabile operating temp., then when you get it hot you want to reign in the temp quickly.

You can't just wire a Bosch sensor in. You need a seperate controller for the sensor. ie buying a "WB". Then you can data log it. Searching should turn up lots of threads about doing it.
