Just thought I'd follow up on the Boxed LCA's post.

After welding the .125 steel stock onto the LCA's, I took the finished pieces to work and sandblasted them. Then I threw on a coat of enamel rust preventative primer followed by a couple coats of Rust-Oleum #7777 Satin Black spraypaint. If I wanted to box my LCAs, where would I get the steel? Is it just scrap or do I go buy it especially for that? Thanks in advance.

 

As far as metal, all you will need is scrap .125" (1/8") steel. You don't need anything more than scrap carbon steel, and it doesn't need to be hardened or anything like that.
