i have my mind set of one type of color, and thats in the orange spectrum of colors ... so many oranges id like to pick from!
i want to be different but unique at the same time i just want something that really flows on a 3rdgen camaro and makes peoples jaws drop, like one of those cars you see with a super nice paint job you cant keep your eyes off of, you guys got any ideas? Maybe pics?

somone around here has got pearl flames painted into his red camaro, looks very very hott. i bet it'd look good with orange too. if he doesnt mind you stealing his idea.

I really like the Sunburst Orange Metallic GM is using on the Cobalt (may be on other cars too, but that's where I saw it first)

Well guys i was out looking at some of the newer cars today and there colors, i stop at a nissan dealership and looked at there cars and found a color i really like, so here i em "this is going to get off topic here" but has anyone seen there website? i was going to post a pic of the color i liked.... but hahhahahah just look for your selfs, what a bunch green fingers!

Two of my favorite's are Kandied91Z and CrazyHawaiian.

 

I think that C5 up top looks hot!! I'd say do a nice bright orange like that, with a slight amount of either gold or orange pearl on top of it...to give it a slight color change effect.

Im going with a gm color called tangier orange with either a pearl or a mettalic in it depending on what I can get my damn paint guy to do .

Me and one of my buddies went to one of the local auto shows and were trying out different new cars when I had fallen in love w/ this color on the new vette! Excuse my buddy in the car but this is the only picture that really shows the true color! Everyone say Hi Peter!

How do you do that flame effect? Is it just pearl, or what is it?

 

Just white pearl over the red base, and it has a little gold pearl on the tips of the flames..

 

That C5 is Lambo Orange, high pearl color. Very different looking IRL, very sweet.

hahah BTW way i like your green, no one on here runs green that i know of or out in the real world, oh also BTW you and REVLIMIT wont be the only one drifting but i sure in the hell ant drifting when i finealy paint the out side of the camaro, right now i have to paint up the engine bay before i slap in the new engine "when im done building it" .... other then that im still desideing on the paint....


if there's any other colors beside the orange that you think would be cool post them up, i still want an orange color but ya never know something might catch my eye and change my mind

 

i was never a huge fan of orange on thirdgens but if i were to do one id defenitly go metal flake.

Tangelo is very nice. Friends cousin has a fullsize truck with bags and rims and its painted Tangelo, I think it looks nicer than my SOM on my 91 Z28. I actually hate my green color on my IROC. Thats why I dont mind rubbing it up on walls and stuff at Drift Session hahaha. It didnt come out like how I wanted. I was trying to get as close to Fairway Green Metallic as possible (S10 and C5 OEM color), but I totally screwed up. Thats what I get for going cheap. I'm gonna repaint that car soon as I crash it a good one. I got 91-92 GFX waiting to go on, but gonna wait untill I rip up the 89 GFX first. And when I do the GFX swap, I'm also putting on the '82 SMC hood and its getting repainted hotrod flat black inside and out. Flat black because its a full time drift car now (gave up on the other chassis), and I wanna be able to re-spray and easily match the bodycolor after crashing. But I'm keeping green in the family, I got a thing for green. It'll end up on one of my cars ...

GM made two colors that are basically the same as in those pics. Sunset orange metalic and Hugger orange.

Here is my buds SOM SS. It is a great color and I think it looks great on Crazy's car.

Nothing quite sticks out like bright yellow. It's a real eye catcher. I love the yellow they put on the newer vettes.
