I bought one from ASCD (via Year One) and it was a p.o.s. After sending me the wrong hood the first time and the second one being crap, I got my money back. I then went to ramairhood.com and got the hood and kit. My bodyshop did have to modify the rear of the hood a bit but it fits beautifully and the kit works fine (after finally getting the thing to match up to the TB). I gained almost 3mpg after I put on the kit. The good thing about ramairhood.com is that they have a package, can paint it for you, and the hole are already cut out. The ASCD one would have had to be cut out and fiberglassed. JMHO

Yes, but teh RamAirHood one needs some slight modifications to make it look right. I need to take some good pictures between my RamAirHood hood and my USBody one. That will explain what I am talking about.

Do you have to put that black insulation garbage back on the underside of the hood or does it come with its own form of insulation?

When I got my hood, the guys at the body shop said that I didn't have to, but it may be a good idea if I would like the paint to last a really long time or I go on a lot of big trips. I just left it off and it is doing just fine.
