need help with my rear defroster

need help with my rear defroster

hey when i hit the switch to turn the rear defroster on the light comes on but nothing else happens.. what can be wrong with it.. i need to get it fixed quick another cleveland winter is on the way HELP!!!!!!!

Axle/Gears: Moser 9", Detroit Locker, 3.70
With the grid turned on, measure the voltage at the left hand side of the grid with respect to ground. The voltmeter should read approx 12 volts. If it does not, then the problem is in the switch, or the wire between the switch & the grid. If the voltage was OK, measure the voltage between the left & right hand sides of the grid. It should also read approx 12 volts. If it does not, then the ground connection from the grid to the chassis is open.
