Rear Sway Bar and Front Steering Braces

Ok, I have an 84 camaro Berlinetta thats been modified quite a bit. As far as the suspension goes, I've put in a new steering box, new struts/shocks, poly bushings, and the wonder bar. But I'd like to stiffen it up even more. First of all I want to know if putting in the rear sway bar helps these cars handle much better, take corners better without rolling as much? Cause I can get the whole assembly, bar and brackets for $15. My next question is about the steering braces I guess you'd call em. My car didn't originally have them, but I guess GM decided to put them in later year camaros. They're triangle shaped and on the drivers side it goes right under the steering box and braces the frame there. Awhile back, my car did what many other camaros are famous for, where my steering box is, the frame rail there rotted out and got real loose, and messed my steering all up. Well since then I've gotten it welded up, and put the wonder bar in, which helped alot. But what I'm wondering is if those braces would help me anymore? Would they stiffen up the front end even more? Will it help tighten up the steering even more, kind of like putting in a strut tower brace? Basically would it benefit me at all, and is it worth putting them in, will I feel the difference? I'm looking for people who have actually put these on their car, and if they could tell the difference please......Thanks

You must be talking about these:

I don't know how much they help since I haven't put mine in yet. They don't weigh very much, so I don't think it could really hurt. As far as the rear swaybar, it's a HUGE help, get one! and while you're back there, do me a favor and look in your lower control arm and see if they have a bolted in metal "insert".

Those triangular pieces do make a difference. I also added them to my 83 sport coupe.

There's two pieces that bolt between the crossmember and the frame rail. The third piece bolts outside the frame, in the driver's side fender just in front of the wheel.

As to why they look different, I couldn't tell you--I matched those to my 91Z and a friend's 92RS, and they looked identical...

Thanks so much, you've really helped alot. I would have missed the 1 piece for sure. I haven't been on the boards for a long time, cause I kinda garaged my car for awhile, but its so good to see people can still come here and get such good help so quickly. Thanks again

No problem! I bought the 3 pieces new from GM, and it took me a while to figure out where the third piece goes.

OK, to be fair, I never figured it out. Someone else told me .
