K here is the scoop on Macco.
Well my Dad worked for Macco as a mananger a while back and this is what he had to tell be a few weeks ago. The body men, painters, prepers all make minimum wage. This is why they dont care about your car. In the training class that my Dad was in they said you get 30 minutes to sand down the car. 30 minutes to mask the car. 30 minutes to paint the car. So they have it finished in about 2 hours. You know what that means. Since my Dad was the mananger to this shop he got to hear all the complaints. There was this person that had the door hadles scratch up from the sanders, another the winsheild was sanded by accident. Of course they dont paint your door jams!!! Well unless you get the 600 hundred dollar pack. He said that 4 out of 5 customers have something to complain about. This place had so much
he said he would never work for them again. It sounded worst than working in a collections office. Well maybe they have changed a bit but 30 minutes prep? That should take about 3 days not 30 minutes.
>take it grezzy I'm out!

Is it just one person prepping the car? Cause if you have 6 guys you can sand the car in 30 mins. If you have 1 guy though, he won't be able to do it very well.

at the body shop i work at (not a macco) we take our time on the cars. thay come out looking damn good every time. i don't think i've every heard a costumer complain about the work we do. i takes about 30 mins. to prep the inside of a door so everything matches. i guess it all matters on the owner.

ImportsRsloths 9 bucks a hour where @ ¿ I tell you what, dont ever work for less. I started a telemarkting job for 9 bucks a hour when I was 18 now I'm a week from 21 working at a ISP tech support for 11.50. This job is the BS job but it gets the bills paid.
Anyway I think that there are about 2 or 3 dudes working on the prep doing the sanding. Still if it takes on guy 3 days to do it right I dont know about 3 guys rushing the job. They dont get paid much so they dont care what they are doing. Thats if they even know what they are doing. When I get my new paint job I'm doing all the work my self except for the paint. I can get a hold of some painters that would give me a deal.
