What degree are the 4 timing pointers on the engine bracket at?

I have a 1982 305 4-bl engine. The sticker on the radiator says to
set the timing at 6 BTDC. The engine timing pointer can only be seen straight down on top of the engine betreen the timing cover
and water pump. There is 1 large pointer and 3 smaller pointers
evenly spaced but a little farther from the big pointer. The pointer
has a little surface rust so I can't see if there are any numbers
on it. Does anybody know what degree they ae at? Is the big one
TDC? What are the other ones at?
This is the first car I have ever had that did not put the pointer
at an easy to see location and didn't have cast numbers.
Also I'm supposed to remove a 4-wire connector from the distributor. All there is is a 3-wire and two single wire connectors.

The marks are the notches in between the points, not the points themselves. The big notch in the mark is 0° and each smaller notch as you go toward the pass side is 2° advanced, so you want to put it 3 notches to the pass side of the deep one.

The 4-wire connector can be a hassle to find. It comes off of the bottom of the dist, 180° away from where the harness with 3 wires comes out of it.

RB's got it right, RBob's drawing is a little off if I'm seeing it clearly. I'm gonna take a shot- see if this makes any more sense. If not, disregard.

The bottom of the big deep V is 0*. First "point" to the left (towards pass. side) is 4* BTDC. Second point to the left is 8* BTDC. 3rd point to the left is 12* BTDC. So, 6* would be in the small V directly between the 4 and 8 degree points.

If you clean off the timing tab you'll probably see the small lines and the timing markings stamped into it but they're usually rusted/crudded up real good and you might never be able to see the marks clearly.

Forget everything to the right (driver's side) of the big deep V. That's all AFTER TDC and you don't want to go there for any reason.
