sub where the spair tire goes?
I'm lookin to put a sub box where my spair tire was. anyone have any experience with this? are there any pre-made boxes i can order for cheap or can someone give me the dimensions to build myself? i'm lookin to put one 12 in there..
what kind of twelve are you going to be using?? The airspace isn't going to be too much over one cubic foot, unless you start with a front brace and fiberglass the box in there. If you do that, thean you'll have enough airapace for any twelve.
I just mounted my sub in there yesterday. I have an Infinity Basslink. It's a 10" sub with the amp built in. But it fit in there great along with my satellite reciever box. I had it all stolen a couple days ago, but the cops caught them and I got my stuff back. I did have my stuff mounted on the rear deck. Now, it's all hidden away and I just removed my spare tire. Matt

<-- did the spare tire 12" SUB install years ago.
It came second to the back seat install but non the less very rewarding. I did the install after having my stereo stolen twice in the same month. I figured I could make my stereo stealth, loud, expensive, and pro, so I did.
If you can do figerglass, do it. It makes for a LOT more volume incase you don't have a solobaric
