Im going to get a th350 with a 9'' tailshaft so my driveshaft will work. I need a crossmember, stall and what else? Dont I also need some type of torque arm mount?? if so where can i find it?

I'm in the middle of this swap now. You need a torque arm mount from b&m part # 30299 about $80 from summit. It will contain most of what u need. Of course u'll need the obvious...new trans fluid/filter. new trans mount is also a good idea. hope this helps

unless it has the 9" tailshaft you will need the driveshaft from a fbod with a 200r4 in it.

Just did this with the b&m kit, was very unhappy. If you use the b&m kit you still need to get a new torque arm mounting bracket from GM. They give you 2 part numbers and you have to figure out what one you need. I didnt even bother, I got the torque arm up there temporarily, and Im waiting to put in Spohn's adjustable torque arm for the th350 sitting in my basement. It has a new crossmember and everything made for the 350, so you dont need any kits, just the shorter driveshaft. Its really worth it if you're going to do it right.

I was going to get a ATI TH350 but im thinking about getting a ATI 700r4 possibly. Not sure yet. looks like ill be spending the same amount of money either way now. to much cash....

buddy has a 87 camaro with a 700r4 he will sell me cheap but id rather not get another tranny that has alot of miles and is stock. I plan on heads and cam for sure so that would probably destroy another 700r4. stock one anyways.

so for a th350 swap im gonna need
crossmember-100$
stall-~200$
torque arm kit ~80$
plus a torque arm mount? any kits come with this?

I plan on making 375hp at the crank NA and nitrous eventually with 3.42 gears...should i get another 700r4 or a th350?

Thats why I went with the 350, they can definitely take more power, and parts for them are alot cheaper. I got mine totally done-up, all high performance parts, gears, clutches, 2800 stall, transgo kit, for 700 bucks installed, I know the guy that runs the place, but I couldnt imagine it would be that much more for anyone else. I gave the guy an old tranny I took out of an old truck.

Remember youre going to need to get your driveshaft shortened or get one out of an early 80's thirdgen with a 200r4 tranny.

And your not going to need a new crossmember with the b&m kit, it has a plate for that, but you are going to need that part form GM, It probably isnt more than 30 bucks but I dont know for sure.

One more thing, If you like the lockup feature on the 700, dont go with a 350. I do about 3000 RPM on the highway.

lockup doesnt work anymore anyways...i took the computer out of my car. I was under the impression I DO NOT need a new driveshaft with a th350 with a 9'' tail shaft.

Im also looking at the probuilt 700r4s now. Not sure what im gonna do.

if you have a 6''tail, you can use the one you have. with the 9'' tail, you need to have a shorter one.

Its a 9" tail will work, a 6" tail will be about 3" off! Yes the B&m kit has the conversion plate so u can use ur crossmember, i went ahead and bought one from and 82 200c camaro just for kicks. A $35.00 part used. If u don't mind running high rpms and need a cheap to repair/replace tranny that can take a beating daily, get the th350! I am takeing the one out of my chevelle i race in daily and i have about 375hp at the crank w/ 3.73's and its my daily driver. Tranny is mostly stock, can't beat it! Although the 700r4's i've had have blown in a matter of a week tops. Just food for thought. Not that hard of a swap either.
