The sight looks nice. But they are not many third gens on the board.
I though about joining and coming out to bowling green for the event, but im in the middle of doing a gear swap and porting my intake. I dont think I will be ready in time.
What mods have you done to your car? Did the 3.73's pick it up?
Im changing from the 2.73's
to the 3.72's. I beleive this will help alot.

I'm located about 30mins west of Paducah which is alittle over 300miles or 8hours according to Yahoo Maps and 15mins from the School Shooting took place at Heath High School. There are a few people here from Ky but trying to get them into the SouthEast Regional Board is another thing. So be sure to spread the word. Cool about the age thing.
Sweet car by the way. Thread Starter

You got a nice car too. We do need to get more people on the southeast board though. Its a good little drive from here to barlow then.
I have been to bowling green area a few times, and hunted in mulenburg, and dale hollow lake. Thats as far west I have been in KY. Its a long and lonesome highway between somerset and bowling green. Makes it hard to keep the speed down.
As for the getting close to 30 thing, remember we are getting older but we are not dead. Even if I reach 80 I think I will still enjoy camaros.

Thanks for the compliment. There are tons and tons of Thirdgens around Western Ky. and I feel like I've told every single last one of them.
I guess either they forgot what the name of the site was when they got home or just don't bother to check the site out, not realizing how much info and fun there is here. We'll slowly get them dragged in here sooner or later.
I think I've covered most of Ky. I've been from Fulton to Ashland and most of the larger places in between like Bowling Green, Louisville, and etc. Western Ky. doesn't have Mountains or Huge hills we only have Lakes and Rivers and that's about it not really that much here.
Yeah I know I'm not going to die anytime soon or atleast I hope not but I guess my way of thinking is starting to change some. Maybe I'm getting wiser.

I have been all over ky but not out your way. I travel alot to tennessee, and to myrtle beach. I find alot of third gens around here too some for sale, some sitting in a back yard, I see some on the street.
I found a sweet 88 or 89 ta setting in a back yard with the back glass busted out. It had all the ground f/x and the factory wheels. It is maroon metalic. It is not covered up and is getting rained in.
What a waste.
As for growing older and wiser
. After a divorce, then re-married, and a 2 year old daughter, a person grows up. I have 2 12' fosgates in the back of my ride, cant have it up loud with my little girl.
As far as getting older remember " the older the bull, the stiffer the horn"
hahaha.

hahaha. Hey guys, don't feel left out, it's hard finding any 3rd gens around here. Well any worth mentioning! Most are sitting in back yards broke down or in the hands of morons. I have visited the kyfbodies site and was dissapointed in the number of 3rd gens. I'm from Henderson and it seems like *ustang country. Their like a$$holes, everone has one!!! I will try to attach a pic as soon as I can.
Same boat here. I've been married before, had a son and now remarried. My son would always try to get me to crank up my stereo when I'd go pick him but that was a no-no so finally he quit asking.
I like the saying too...I'll keep that in mind.

Yeah 88ROC1LE I hear ya. There's some ragged out ones around here but there is a few nice ones too. Yep get a pic of your I'd like to see it.
If you guys like racing be sure to visit
Kentucky/Tennessee Auto Racing It's a pretty cool site with cars from a Turbo Eclipse to an older big block 455 Trans Am. Right now I'm the only 3rd gen there so I could use some help with the Imports and Mustang owners.

88ROCL1E, Every A hole around here has a rustang. I saw one yesterday that was purple with big gold flakes in it. It hat the big aluminum wing that rises above the roof. I almost wrecked I was laughing so hard.
Oh yeah, Glad to see another fellow kentuckian on the board. Send some pics.
There is a lot of good project cars around here If I had the money.
Alot of thirdgens.
jobryan26. Luckly I had my little girl after I remarried. I have friends that had kids with there first wife and it sucks having to see your ex just to see your own kid. I will be racing at the london motor plex this summer. I think the track is going to be
IHRA sponsord. Do you have any more pics of you car?
Oh yeah, when my little girl was only 6 months old, the only way I could get her to be good in the car was to play California love
by 2PAC. Now I think she likes KID ROCK.

Gonna get my camera up and runnin and take a few pics. And as far as M---ang types go, there are a few ***** wannabes. The three tier, five foot wide, mismatched color spoilers that look like something out of Babylon5. I personally love the ones with a red paint job a, white cowl hood about 7 inches too tall, and that mismatched spoiler. As far as my car it's not too hot. It's just a black hartop with the clearcoat peeling away and the gold package. I'll try posting pics ASAP!!

Those are some nice pics man. Where did you get the carbon fiber for dash? Im still hunting for the 92, 150mph camaro overlays. I bet getting the hood to be functional was a pain.
here is a few more exterior pics of my car.

Here is my baby, I finally got around to shinking the size of my jpeg, so I could post a pic. This is after a wash and a wax. I'm getting here painted here shortly so she should look real cherry. I've also got rid of the black center caps and put the correct ws6 caps on it.
This is the first attachment I have done, lets see if I can do it right.

Yeah, she's a TBI. There are a couple like it riding around here locally too. I haven't talked to them, they have always been heading the opposite direction.
I don't actually live in KY, I live in Clarksville which is about 2 miles north in Indiana. Were you in Louisville a week or two ago Bluegrassz? I saw a sharp blue and white Z heading south on 65.
Good to see someone else from KY.

No. I have my intake apart right now. I am porting and polishing the plenum, adding a BBK afpr, MSD coil, jet airfoil, and richmond 3.73 gears.
As far as living in Indiana, you are close enough.

I haven't met anyone else on here that is from KY.
My mods are in my sig. Forgot to attach it earlier.
I will check out kyiconracing asap.
I have been thinking of painting my car just like yours, accept silver stripes. Been wanting to do it for a while, so I'm not copy-catting.

Actually, ICON stands for I Cower Over Nothing. and if you knew the story about how that got started, you'd understand. I noticed before someone mentioning that their area was Mustang Country. Same here...and they've got a racing team. Guy who stick together...and that seemed like fun to me. Riding around with my guys, Chevy's loaded and ready for release, but that went down fast, because not alot of chevy's around wanting to race and have fun. Besides all of that, the Mustang Racing Team had a bad rap and no one wanted to run against them. So I.C.O.N. was born to show that just because a car might be faster or claims to be, or because the driver pulls out guns, I'm not going to stand down. I like racing. So sue me. I like talking about my car like she's the Queen of Freaking England. So sue me. I do everything in my measley power to make her look and run good. And I'm not supposed to be proud of that? Sorry...I talk about the car...I talk about her a lot. My wife wants to strangle me because I talk so much about it. But that car is what I've wanted forever..and now that I got it...I'm not supposed to go around and brag a little? Sorry..won't happen.
and the ONLY time I get attitude is when someone puts what I've worked hard on down. 99% of people will do that when pushed. But I still get a bad rap for it, while everyone else in life sails right on by, saying and doing what they please.
Anyway, enough harping. This post has been edited enough, and sorry I let my gut answer the first time, but damn people, if you want to know about something, just don't start cutting people down on something that means so much to them. and as the old saying goes, if you can't say anything good about it, don't say nothing at all.

I like your car so I don't see what the problem is. It's not like it's Viper Blue with Racing stripes or something.
(j/k,bluegrassz) My car is mostly stock in appearance form with most of my mods in the performance area because that's what I like. It's all about ones personal preferance.Another Old Saying

thank you
JOBRYAN26 Thank You. In reading what you wrote, the support meant more to me than anything you'll ever know. Also, the PM you sent was extremely helpful, and I realized what I was doing to upset so many people. You're right and the advice you gave will be implemented, as well as taken to heart.
If it weren't for guys like you that reinforce my belief that there are decent people in the world, and the support of my wife, I don't know where I'd be. Man, I could go on for hours, but I won't, and I'm sure that would be appreciated by all who have to read this post LOL
In naming I.C.O.N. Racing, I had no idea that there was a place called Icon Motorsports, and I'd just like to tell everyone that my racing team has nothing to do with Icon Motorsports. There is a long history, in which I delved into on an earlier post, on how I.C.O.N. was named.
John, you said your car was mostly stock...well stock is enough for that nice ride...and you're right about one thing...it IS all about personal preference, and appreciating the ideas and concepts that other 3rd gen lovers implement into their cars.
Again, thank you, and to all others out there...if you have any questions about I.C.O.N. Racing, please email me privately, instead of lashing out and causing my temper to flare and make really rude remarks that upset the moderators, cause them extra work, and in general, may get me kicked off here!!

Im going to run at the strip, but I have ran on the street. But just like badgta said. It dont matter what pulls up beside you, just give it all you got. If you get beat then you get beat.
It all about the fun and enjoyment in working on your car, and seeing what a person do with his or her dreams.
Like I said. Im new to ICON. This is a new ICON. and what ever the story is about the past just leave it there.
SO dont go ragging about something, just because of bs from the past.
P.S. at least my avatar doesnt look at everyone and freak them out. lol j/k (jobryan26)

nice bike. Is it a 883 or a 1200 sportster? I will be buying one later down the road. I have to buy a new house and finish my car first.
Thanks for the pics. and thanks for the coment about ICON.
