Well, only about eight people showed up at Denny's, but it was still a good time. I know we can get a better turnout with some good weather. Anyone wanna plan another gathering, maybe at like a forest preserve? A lot of them have grills there we can use so no one has to lug one there. We can each bring some kind of food or drink so no one has to buy everything. Just an idea.

Yeah I thought more people would have been there too but the weather was most likely the cause for the small numbers. Count me in for another gathering.I would like to see a BIG turn out.

Yeah Crete is a ways away.. not too bad though for me. Theres a pretty big group in Peoria, a couple from Rockford, and a few of us in the SW Burbs. It would be nice to find a location pretty equally close for all of us. There's a few forest preserves around here (On La Grange Rd between 87th street and 143rd street), but I don't know if everyone wants to travel that far.

Denny's may be a hike (not too bad honestly and most people are getting parts anyways)
and dont forget the aove mentioned is a safe haven for all us partyers , something other places wont be lol (provided we aint total !$#@%)

i totally agree with you there, i think it may have just been bad luck with that weekend, perhaps if denny wants to give it a shot later in the year it might work out alot better like maybe late june, that way people who are in school will be out and the weather will be alot nicer

 

yeah, Denny's is cool with me.. but I just didn't want it to be a burden on him.. I don't know if he feels like doing it over and over again, ya know?

Just remember there will be no perfect location. I can go to wherever it is because I know my car would love to run. Last week I ran the "Niterider" down to Moline just to do it. Every car needs a good run every now and then. I bet Denny would not mind again because the main cause of the low turn out was weather.

Denny, how about posting those pics when you can?

Let's go around the 4th of July give or take a week. Always nice weather then. Everyone has there car out then also.

There is a park in the Cantera Naperville area off of Winfield and Ogden road. There is always some cruise thing going on somewhere around there. The 4 corners in Downers Grove is pretty cool most of the time. It stopped raining so maybe I can get my car sprayed this week. No more two tone for me.

 

Yeah, i'm game for another gathering. Just let me know where. I jusy don't wanna be drving all over ***'s creation, lol. Hope to hear about the progress and i'll drop some ideas when i ponder some.

Another gathering sounds like a great idea. I really wish I had made it to Denny's. I live on the southside too, so it would be pretty nice to have it close to home, but I will try to make it no matter where it is.
