what fluid should i use in my t5????

what fluid should i use in my t5????

just like the topic says, also the t5 is a 1984 model

be ebst to check a manual to be sure but i tihnk a 84 would use regualr gear oil, i'd run amsoil or mobil 1 synthetic in it

gear lube, preferably synthetic

Ignore all the crap even from GM (not that GM has ever been confused about anything, or told even the slightest untruth, or anything like that ) about this year uses this, for one year they changed to that, etc... the real deal is, the non-WC T-5s have brass synchros and should use gear lube; the WC ones have composition synchros and should use ATF. Although, lots of people (including myself) use gear lube in the WC models for its superior bearing protection without any problems.

thanks guys, i was hoping someone would say to use gear lube, cuz atf in a manual, just seems wrong.

next question, what weight, would be good?
