ok enjoy. hopefully this will lead to larger maf housings in the future. also looks to be some unused maf resolution to take advantge of in terms of what the code sees.anybody got a *** equation to take grm/sec and turn it into CFM. if so i can get a larger housing flowed some time later in the month and we can use the voltage and flow rates in CFM and convert it back into grm/sec

ok guys see you later.

using ideal gas law...

pounds / cubic foot = ( MW / 10.73 )( psia / °R )

molecular weight of air is 29
R is in rankine R=459.67+ degrees in F
psia is absolute pressure (inches of mercury 29.92=14.7 psi)
1 lb = 454 grams

CFM= GPS / 454 / (pounds / cubic foot) * 60

(Grams/sec) * (lb/grams) * (cubic foot/lb) * (sec/min)......gives (cubic feet/min)... hate units....

question tho....is this your modified sensor? I mean no screen?

At 72F, sealevel:

CFM = GmSec / 0.5647

RBob.

P.S. do you have any way to measure the pressure drop across the sensor?

no this is a copletely stock sensor. bosch. the one i have been using is for a 302 ecm runnign $3a code and is FQ based nto voltage. looking at teh volateg gradient its almost funny you could almost use a MAP sensor. anyways anybody cares to work out the flow changes for a larger housing let me know. i havent the time right now.
