in 1995 my 1992 firebird was repainted under factory warranty due to the clear coat cracking in various places.

well, they didn't repaint the whole car. the spoiler had one small crack when i bought my car in july, but the winter killed the whole clear coat on my aero wing. here are the pics:

same thing happened to me, but even worse, got my local guy to paint it for a few bucks!!

 

My GTA was repainted in 1996 under warranty by the original dealer because of paint issues on the spoiler too. My paint is totally sweet now but the dealer put the fender emblems on in the wrong place Oh well, I fixing that in January finally...

 

mines worse ... im doing some body mods soon so when thats done ill get it painted. My clearcoat is mia in sparatic areas around the car, and pealing my stripes off recently didnt help.

 

ALL the clearcoat on my 86 came off. Now the spoiler on the 92 is turning white

 

Yeah the clearcoat on my spoiler is coming off also.

 

Man.....they should of done something about that. My 89...believe it or not had the same prob. It was mostly on the sail panels.....the clear was all fading. Got that all done over with when i had it all repainted back to the original factory color.....after about a month of me chewing the auto body guy out to try and find the ORIGINAL color sceme....he claimed that they didnt make the paint anymore....and that just did not sit to well with me...so i decided to find the paint myself....which i did..

 

Mine faded really bad. It looked black 3 years ago now it's faded blue

 

Norwood paint on 87 IROC.....

 

The 87's paint is still perfect right??

 

Original Norwood Factory Paint and I know since I am the original owner.

 

And its still perfect correct??
