Hey WWasem...
Hey WWasem...
Did that SLP CAI bolt right up to the your MPFI engine? I was looking through your page (nice car btw!) and I noticed that you listed it as one of your mods. I only ask because I have been through SLP's website I great deal many times and have never seen that CAI before, I must've missed it.
Anyways, if it bolted right up, did you feel any difference? I am getting a Dynomax in the summer, my old cat-back kit is starting to rust out, and I was looking to get the car some extra pep (it needs it!), and going with a CAI in conjunction with a cat-back kit would be my best bet.
Sorry if this topic has been beaten to death, but I've been reading V6 posts for a while and I have never seen that particular CAI.

I have seen a number of hand-made CAI kits for our V6 cars and a couple who have the dual-snorkel, but never that one.

Thanks for the compliments!! I believe I'm the only one on the V6 board with the SLP CAI. As for performance it definately improved it!! It definately brings in cold air and you can tell! The exhaust note is also lower and you can hear that the car can breathe better. I also like the look of stock things! As for the link you sent me that is exactly the kit that I got. That's the right one. Here are some pictures of it. The only "real" modification to the car itself was relocating the black canister from that side of the car to the side with the battery. You will see this in the pictures as well.
Taken before the addition of the BMR STB. Shows basically the whole setup
This is the SLP airbox. It brings the cold air in through the fender as you can see. The side towards the fender is completely open and flush against the fender panel.
This is the black canister relocation next to the battery. The SLP kit comes with all necessary parts to do the job!

Ok, that was what I was looking for! I was never really into getting the dual snorkel, and I wasn't equally enthusiastic in making a custom CAI, and then I went to your page and saw that SLP CAI. I think I am going to go ahead and get it, after my wheels come in. Thanks a much!
