Elbow for fan switch w/SLP headers

Anybody have a picture of what sort of elbow they used? Maybe the one that comes with the installation kit? I'm having a helluva time finding something I'm happy with. Any male to female elbow I find isn't deep enough for the fan switch to screw in. That leaves me with adding a nipple to a female-female elbow or adding one to a triple female tee. All those options end up being big, bulky, and stick out so far from the engine. Not to mention it makes it look all cobbled together too.

RB, you're good! That's what I was looking for. I just can't find anything that deep locally. It looks like the SLP one would stick out from the engine a bit too, so maybe I'm not as bad off as I feel. I'll go with what I've got and see how it goes...

My fan switch fit in fine with my SLP headers without the use of that elbow. Since it has a p/n, maybe you can order it seperately from SLP?

Looks to me like their 1-5/8" headers wouldn't need it, but the 1¾" ones probably would.

But it's worth a try ordering it from SLP.... part # 30010H

The marking on the elbow part of that piece indicates that it was made by Aeroquip. You might also give them a call because I'd be willing to bet that SLP will try and charge you a small fortune for it.

Thanks for all the info everybody. I've realized that part of the problem is that the new fan switch I've got is a little longer than any I've used in the past. The old ones would fit in some of the 90 deg and 45 deg elbows I've found in the stores. To get my switch to fit, I've picked up a tee with a plug for the bottom. I guess it'll give me a cool way to drain coolant....

They are 1-3/4" headers by the way. Maybe the problem doesn't exist with 1-5/8.

I'll try that part number and aeroquip to see if I can't find something I like better. Or I could stop being so **** about it.
