Took my '90 Formula 305 LB9 yesterday to get some baseline dyno runs before headers go on. The car just has a K&N filter, SLP exhaust and crank pulley. It made 209 hp @ about 3400 rpm and 275 ft-lbs of torque around 4400 rpm. The engine is actually out of an '89 and has 80K+ miles on it. I'll try and get a scan of the graph soon. It looks to have a good powerband from around 2500 to 4500 ... great for autocross!

 

what is the factory advertised horsepowere for a LB9?

 

In 89 should be 225hp

 

That's 225 HP, at the crank.

RWHP with 225 crank HP should be around 180. So you're a little ahead of the curve there.
