The meeting location for our August 2nd meeting has been changed. It will be at Chris' workplace in Irvine. Afterwards we will head to the Irvine Spectrum for some fun at Dave & Busters.
Chris will post the address soon. Time will still be the same, at 6pm, I think.

I hope we get some San Diego people to come up this time!

 

1 Technology Park, J-725, Irvine. Its upstairs in a conference room.

I will have to post a map of how to get to the building, its kinda complicated to describe but I will try. Maybe I'll draw it up in Autocad on company time

5 Northbound:
Take 5 north to Alton Parkway. Turn right at the end of the ramp. Turn right on the first street you come to, Technology Drive. Take that almost to the end, 1 Technology Park is the last driveway on the right.

5 Southbound:
Take 5 south to Alton Parkway. Stay in the right lane, follow that around to the right. Turn right on Alton Parkway. Go over the bridge (5 freeway), pass the first light (offramp for 5 North) and turn right on Technology Drive. Take that almost to the end, 1 Technology Park is the last driveway on the right.
Yahoo doesnt show the building in the right spot, so dont use that idea. When you turn where the sign says 1 Technology Park, you'll pass one driveway and then come to a traffic circle. Follow that around to the 2nd driveway, turn in there. The building just to your left is where my office is. Park wherever you want to.

405 Southbound:
Take 405 south to Irvine Center Drive. Stay to the left, turn left at the light on the end of the ramp. You'll have to get right a couple lanes, but don't do that until you go over the bridge over the freeway. Take ICD to Alton Parkway, turn right on Alton Parkway. Pass the first light (Gateway), then wave hi to people getting off 5 South. Go through that light, over the bridge, and wave hi to people getting off 5 North. At the following light which is Technology Drive, turn right. Take that almost to the end, 1 Technology Park is the last driveway on the right.

We are going to try and hit Dave+Busters for dinner, but they dont take reservations and will more than likely be busy. No worries though, there is a food court with a wide variety of foods and plenty of seating.

 

maybe you could borrow some pink flagging from the surveyors and mark the dwys.

That's exactly the reason for the change. To give other people a chance to come to the meeting, whom have previously complained it was too far away.

Email me for a phone number in case you get lost... though I think the map should be ok. The sign thats out by the street is huge, you'd have to be blind to miss it. That, or driving way too fast... hmmm... some people might be doing just that!
