Perma-Cool Fan Controller
I have never been easily impressed, but this product impressed me. It's an expensive ($60.00) fan switch, but the thing is awesome. I just got it installed. It is an adjustable switch that can control 2 fans (Less than 20 amps, I wouldn't recommend 2), can hook up to your AC trip wire, and screws right into the head!!!! The sensor is a 2-piece line, so when you screw it into the head, the wire won't get twisted. The control box looks to be weather-proof, plent of wire on the harness. If you have a coolong problem, this baby will fix it. I have a 180 stat, a Be-Cool alum rad., and I set it about in the middle of the adjustment. I let the car sit and IDLE for 20 min, and the manifold temp never got over 185. (it was 80+ degrees outside.......Texas) If I got a 160 stat, and turned this baby all the way down, I could keep the head temp at ,.........well pretty f*cking low. The only negative is that once you turn the AC on, the fan stays running. When I turned the AC off, the fan continued to run. (No, it wasn't hot enough to trip the sensor yet). These things are the s*it!!!!! Can be had thru Summitt. They just got their B.O. in, so get 'em while they're hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey that sounds great I live in Texas too and I have tried everything I can think of to keep the thing cool nothing does that good a job , thought about a Hyperthermic chip but have seen mixed reviews...So they can only be found thru Summit? Thanks
