I finally got a response from 9bolt.com-bad news for the support cover.
Or hard to find 9bolt parts in general.
This Miles response to a private message I sent him.
Re: Are you still selling 9 bolt parts?
Along with my day job, I have 2 other businesses I'm involved in that require alot of time right now. The last 4 weeks has been devoted entirely to a new start up company I started and is making is debut at the PRI show this weekend. I have a bunch of 9 bolt parts, but I do not have the time to respond to all the emails anymore. Especially since most of them are tire kickers and ask the same questions I have posted in the FAQS section. I am trying to find a couple of existing parts businesses that can distribute the parts for me on the day to day basis as I don't have the time anymore. The minimum parts buy for a distributor is $3500 (at cost). As soon as I can close a deal with a distributor, I will post it at www.9bolt.com and direct people to that (those) sites. I need to have this in place before production quantities of the cover are sold as I don't have the time to deal with the day to day stuff. (The covers are also included in the $3500 buy in). Know anyone that wants to distribute? Since I can't post a message related to 9 bolt stuff on the boards, feel free to post the message.
Thanks
Miles

What's up man.......alot of peoples emailed you and you give no response.
Are you still open?
What's up with the support covers? I need one? Do you have a functional one you can sell me?
Well, there you have it guys. Once again I have been hyped up over a killer part that's supposed to become available for 3rd generation f-bodies and then let down. If it were me, I would have made a limited run of support covers to fulfill the promise to the people that committed to buying them. I guess he thought me and the other guys that emailed him a thousant times about the support cover he's said he's gonna make for the last 2 years were just "tire kickers".
Really pisses me off. If he doesn't come thru on the support cover promise, I know I won't buy a product from his new company.

Well, it isn't what I wanted to hear, but at least we known what is going on now. I wonder what the chances are of getting an existing distributor to offer 9 bolt parts.
I just want a support cover - I don't care where it comes from. I do agree with you though, I wish he would at least offer us a limited run of the covers.
If he doesn't want to do individual sales, do you think he might consider a group purchase? Probably not, I suppose.

see just have someone start a group purchase that equals up to 3,500 and then the person who started it would from then on be a 9 bolt parts distributor. hehe.
that is if any one wants to be a distributor.

I'm just throwing this out there....
The 10 bolt covers seem to be selling for around $150.
Assuming the price for the 9 bolt covers was $150, if we got a GP going, and 23 board members purchased a cover, the total would be $3450.
I would think that there are at least that many people here who would want a cover. Like I said, just a thought.... I have zero experience with group purchases, and it sounds like miles doesn't want to be bothered.

Jumping in here, at least he is still trying to get the part out and others. I suggest we all contact a TGO advertiser and ask them to contact him about becoming a distributor. We have Thunder Racing, Hawks, Third Gen Resource and Spohn.

9 bolt clarifications
Sorry, I didn't mean you or the other serious people about 9 bolts were the tire kickers. It's all the other questions about brakes, how strong, how many splines, why so expensive, where can I get one etc..... I put up a FAQ section along time ago to address these questions and try to add any new question to it too.
As for the support cover, there will definately be a production run of parts! The only question is when it will occur. As soon as the shop finishes the new pattern, it'll be cast. Since I am getting a very good deal on the pattern (which is how I can keep the selling cost comparable to a 10 bolt cover), I don't have any say on when the part gets time in the CNC mill. The cost of the cover will be in the $150 range (similar to a 10 bolt cover). I will probably handle the first round of production deliveries myself so there is no need for a GP to get to the $3500, but then they will be going to distributers. As soon as I know anything more on the pattern, I'll update (the site).

I'm tired of waiting on him. It's been too long for me to take him serious anymore. I'm gonna try through other channels.
