Brakes

Hi Kandiez91z,
I read that you sell brakes, well I am looking for a front brake upgrade basically a larger disc and calipers as well. I am going to use them for road racing. Could you please let me know what you have available, site?
Thank you,
Edgardo

Here's how my current transaction with Jeff has gone:

I do not like using PayPal because of two prior transactions that went sour. After he convinced me that PayPal is his preferred method of payment, I trusted him and sent $75 on Sunday 10/31/04 for a TPI fuel rail. His statement to me was that he would ship on Monday 11/01/04 and supply me with a tracking number. As of late Monday night, I had not received a tracking number. I sent him an e-mail. No reply. As of Tuesday noon, no reply. I sent him another e-mail. It is now 5:30pm Tuesday 11/02/04 and I have not yet heard from Jeff.

Personally when I sell stuff, I NEVER keep the buyer in the dark as Jeff Blackburn as done to me. I hope I get that tracking number with a ship date of 11/01/04 as he promised. I do hope this issue resolves itself in a day or so as I am a rather forgiving person. I just hope this transaction was a "slight oversight" on Jeff's part. However if it does not work out, I will consider measures against him on this website as well as attempts to retrieve my funds. I am the type of person who can be your absolute best friend BUT I can be your worst enemy also. Treat others as they have treated me is my motto.

nice buddy... i've sent you too emails telling you what was going on and one with a tracking number??

here is what was typed and i'll include a link to show it was truly sent.... wish i had a copy of the 2 i sent previously.

thanks alot William Wiseman as i took your concerns and just tried to help you out.... you only sent paypal because you wanted them quicker then snail mail would have been sending a check. when you do in fact get the rails on time which will be fri nov 5, 04 i hope you realize what jerk you've been.

it's people like yourself that make me hesitant to do business....

for the record i have sent you 2 damn emails now, one with tracking number... have no idea why it didn't go through but what you said on thirdgen was quite wrong and aggrivating as being a veteran and not having a single bad transaction out of the many i've done you've gotten out of line. i think you have a right for concern with general transactions but we agreed on shipment for monday the 1st and i followed through. if you didn't recieve them by the end of the week then you could pull something like this. do not ask to purchase anything from me again.

anyone who has any familiar status on the net knows my name and history. for William Wiseman to try and ruin something like that because my email didn't go through without trying alternate routes first is upsetting and a real testimate to how sometimes the forums can be useless with wasted opinions.

William Wiseman you should have pm'd me or possibly even tried to ask others here how to get ahold of me first before going that route, especially since it's wednesday and i was suppose to ship it out monday. reguardless thanks for the sale, however do not ever ask for anything else from me. unfortunately i wasn't smart enough to save my sent emails which i will do from now on so i thank you for that. for some reason my yahoo automatically saves them, but my hotmail doesn't seem too.

anyone who would like to see proof that i did in fact send him an email this time please click the link here to see a picture of the email proving i sent one today, do not know why they didn't go through before as i've never had any trouble with the many others between Willie and I, but things happen i suppose.

thanks again willie, enjoy your part! when you recieve this email i would appreciate your reply letting us know you did. in the future don't get so hot headed and i would appreciate keeping the threats to a minimum as it's not only very low class but uncalled for at this point in the transaction.

have a good day sir.

well willie got this reply and he replied back to me with 2 emails. one a nice email but still no apology for the wrongful accusations and a second email basically telling me he was right in what he did and that he pretty much isn't sorry for trying to cause problems for me.

all fine and dandy i suppose, i followed through with my deal and although i should have kept records of the email i did in fact do what Willie Wiseman and i agreed upon.

Willie Wiseman not only went above and beyond trying to cause problems by posting what he has but then doesn't show the slightest compassion for being wrongful.

Willie Wiseman, i hope your standup guy and willing to admit you were wrong.

Did he send the part as promised on Monday? Paypal is the preference for a lot of people including myself because they offer $$ protection from people who either don't pay for stuff or send bogus parts etc. I think it was somewhat premature to post your displeasure when only a day had gone by. When I do business with people I dont expect them to sit by the Comp ready to receive and respond to my emails but I do however expect them to follow through with what they say. Honesty and integrity are important to me. I didnt think the following comments were necessary either:

"However if it does not work out, I will consider measures against him on this website as well as attempts to retrieve my funds. I am the type of person who can be your absolute best friend BUT I can be your worst enemy also."

I dont really care to know that. The part is on its way isnt it?Given his reputation and yours as well, I would buy from both of you without even thinking something would go wrong. Both are upstanding TGO citizens. This could have been resolved with pm's and handled better IMO.

Some are never happy, it makes me think about the guy giving the fast food worker hell because "Someone" didn`t get it right. Everyone seems to have more of an opinion and shout louder when they are not face to face I have had many transactions buyer and seller thru this site and many others sites..not all have been perfect but most have been acceptable if not flawless (to me). 1 1/2 days with no communication is not a big deal, I too would have been offended by the remarks the buyer made. It shows Jeffs True colors by Still thanking him for the sale, I had the Pleasure of dealing with Jeff on a purchase and from my experince, phone calls and the short meeting I had with him, showed that he was very professional and direct

Kandied91z: By the way, don't bother posting anything on the Southwest forum. It's common knowledge that all posts get deleted.

Personally, I think Willie overreacted. I get stuff off ebay all the time without getting contacted within 24 hours. Life happens.

Any of you guys who know me know that I'm a very fair and level-headed. I keep my personal opinions to myself and only state what I know as fact. I've always been this way.

That being said, here's an update on this whole ordeal. It is now Wednesday evening and after I posted my initial comments, I did receive an e-mail from Jeff and it did include a tracking number. Jeff did ship on Monday as promised.

As human nature goes, Jeff was truly offended by my comments above. Rightfully so. Did I overreact? In most eyes, the answer would be yes. However, please note my last experience with buying parts. This is my quote from an e-mail I sent Jeff earlier this evening:

"Now my last experience with PayPal is one I must share. The value of the item was over $1300. Once he received my payment, he promised me he would ship in two days. That would have been a Wednesday. And that he would call me with the tracking number. I never received that call. I waited for two days, wondering if I'd lost $1300+. I called him on Friday and left a voicemail. I never heard back. I then called him on Sunday and his wife answered. She knew nothing of our deal. Worried? You bet! I called him again on Monday and finally got him on the phone! He apologized profusely and told me he would ship that afternoon -- to expect a phone call that evening with the tracking number. Guess what? No call again!! I waited another two days. I called him on Wednesday. He gave me some excuse why he didn't ship on Monday. I just about gave up and promised him that if I didn't not get a tracking number by Friday, I would pursue this with local (Baltimore) authortiies. He shipped."

Eric, I may have overreacted BUT Jeff did state to me via e-mail that he would ship on Monday and would supply the tracking number. Based on my prior experience (above), I was a little on the jumpy side. I raised this concern to Jeff and he did state to me that he did send the e-mail(s). I never received them but this is not the issue here. Maybe I take people too literally? You might think so, but others would not.

Summary: Jeff and I have conversed via e-mail and I even offered my phone numbers so we could talk if he felt it was necessary. Knowing Jeff has been around this website for almost as long as I have and reading others' comments about his transactions leads me to conclude that Jeff is an honest and viable source for parts.

As far as I'm concerned, this topic is a non-issue. I hope everyone else here feels the same.

Willie

Very well said Willie. You are an honorable man. So is Kandied. Glad to hear everything has worked out. Your integrity nor Kandieds was ever an issue IMO. Just stating that there was some overreaction. Your past situations would understandably make anyone nervous no matter how much money is involved.
