I finished my H4 conversion. I used Eurolite Enclosures and PIAA Plasma Bulbs.

I would be worried about the plugs being damaged if you did not rewire the car for H4 bulbs. I made the same mistake in the past and ended up with melted plugs and damaged electrical system. Does look good though. But might be running too much wattage with all 4 on at once?? Maybe try a post in the electronics section.

i believe you might have wired the 3rd prongs on the highs up
you supposed to only have 2, it might be finding a thru the light itself... recheck your wiring thru the harness

thanks to JZA on the elec board for this... helps to explain alot

Once again I have not made any harness this is all factory wiring! I did not touch the wireing for the highs at all. All I did was change the low beams by switching the low beam and ground wires like the picture above. They bulbs I am using are 60/55 cause the Eurolite housing is rated at maximum of 60.

one thing with the h4 conversion
crappy GM headlight switch will not handle the extra load on hi beam
install a relay to take the pressure off of the switch

What relay do you use and how do you wire it in? If you are using a stock wattage bulb do you still need the relay?

I fixed my highs I had it wires all wrong! The 2 lamps cost about $20 each but the bulbs were $66. I wasn't going to get cheap bulbs so I got PIAA bulbs, every review I have read people liked them. I was going to get cheap Eurolite bulbs for only 20$ but everyone said the purple film on them pealed off after use and the burnt out really fast. The PIAA bulbs also come with a 1year manufacture warranty. I bought everything at AutoToys they have free shipping for orders over $100.

apparently i missed the wiring diagram when i did mine (about 2 years ago) i have 4 low beams and 4 high beams. now why would the high beams stay on after i click them off after turning them on? i have to shut the lights all the way out to shut them off.

and by the way do you like the light pattern that the eurolite housings give off? i have the same ones in my car that i got from a local shop that dealt with toucan industries.

To fix my problem I just removed all the pins for the low beam plug and wired it to the H4 diagram shown above. High beams are the green wires, low beams are tan, and ground is black. Those are stock colors. Yes I like the lighting the Eurolite housings put out its like a field of light instead of 2 beams.

87ciz you need to remove the wires from the high beams, you should only have 2 wires going to the high beams and 3 going to the LOW beams.... the top pin on the H4 for the high beam should be left out.... the only 2 that should be wired on the high are the two across from each other and they should only be wired for high beam signal. if you need anymore info were always here.

i like the 4 low 4 high beams it makes it look alot meaner at night as well as seeing alot better. I have the first edition of the eurolite housings. BEFORE they were diamond cut, the light pattern sucks. anyways they were talking about a relay to relieve the dimmer switch after its on highs where do i put this?

that round thing is not a reflector per se.... if you look at the bulb they all have grey at the tip... they reflect light outward...towards the side... its up to the reflectors in the housing to prohect the light outwards and lenghtwise.... ill be posting pictures soon... i got to re aim the lows, but they came out great.... hopefully ill get a better beam aim and light spread with them adjusted higher....

Well I brought this thread back from the dead because when I did this swap I neglected to upgrade the wiring harness. Well neglecting the harness resulted in the harness melting! This took 2 years to do it. Also I brought this up because I am not the greatest when it comes to wiring so I went out and bought Painless's H4 conversion harness and it works great! The driver side wire length is perfect the passenger side is a little on the long side but a zip tie fixed that. Here are some pictures of the harness for people that are not good at wiring. This took a total of 45min to install in the pooring rain.

This is the relays and the fuse.

This is where the painless harness connects to thefactory harness.

This is a update picture. Passenger light is out of alignment.

I only did the lows because I felt I don’t use my highs enough to spend 100+. As far as pictures when they are off I can take some Monday. The picture doesn’t really show how bright they really are but it improved immensely. It is a lot easier to see at night.

I will upgrade the highs eventually. Maybe ill just buy cheap bulbs for the highs since I don’t use them that will cut the price a lot. One thing our highs have a 2 prong connector and H4 is 3?

No splicing wires needed. It has a connector for your stock headlight connector but on the factory plug you have to move the wires around so they are in the H4 pattern listed above then you plug the 2 new plugs into your lights and mount the relays and fuse.

Summit racing part number PRF-30815. But it will take 2 harnesses if you replace all 4 lights. These harnesses are not cheap buy the way; they are 75 a pop. Summit has their version for a 4 headlight system for $40, but I asked the summit rep about the quality and he said id be better off with the Painless one. The summit piece is a APC knock off.
