Oh, By the way.....................

1. Car will not start unless dash harness BLue plug G, Pink wire, IGN Power for TCC stop Lamp is actually powered

2. Car will not shut off unless ICM is powered w/acc switched power

3. Car will not accelerate faster than idle if throttle cable not hooked up

The fix:

1. Apply power to said wire, turn the freakin key, and

2. Got some more wiring to do. Also wire up the radiator fan while I'm at it

3. Connect it. DUh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

congrats on working out the gremlins, that's the one thing i'm not looking forward to in my future swap, and that's exactly why i'm going to be planning it forever. Although, i know for a fact that i'll have the same trobules as you are, probably on a higher scale...good work.

Are you

Are you gonna still do the northstar swap? Just wondering, personally, Ive worked on enough Cadillacs to know, those motors are a PITA! Head bolts usually strip right out of the block too....

yeh, still going to do the Northstar swap....got the heads off w/o any problem, although i do know that installing and removing heads can cause a big prob, in other words they don't torque like they're supposed to. I"ll be starting the rebuild of the engine this summer (gonna cost an arm and a leg) but if it's reliable, it'll be more worth it in the end.

Glad to hear you got it going! #3 sucks, though. I'm Workin' on a friends' dad's S10 blazer w/the 4.3 Vortec; the nut kit (plastic fuel lines!) sprung a leak inside the intake. It's got a fancy clip that holds the fuel lines to the CPI injector. I'm slowly prying the clip off- ZING! Right behind the engine.

Well, no big deal... GM manual says to replace the clip- it must come with the nut kit. Bzz, wrong, it comes with the $500 CPI spider unit. So this weekend I gotta dig around and see if I can find the clip. Oops, no, I mean I HAVE TO find that clip.

Saw a northstar v8 crammed into the back of a Fiero at the Englishtown swap meet a few weekends ago- that was hot! Car didn't even look like a Fiero anymore... I felt cool because my tip-off was that there was a stereo under the front hood... told my buddies "I think that's a Fiero!" I was so happy when I was right! (I bought an o-ring kit and a hose crimp-off tool... nothing cool to talk about.)

$500

It only cost me $315 for my injector (Yes, I too am blessed w/a 95 Blazer w/no aftermarket )

I just need to get a y-pipe made, properly, and changeout the brake mster cylinder. Trouble shoot the tach hookup, & see which of 3 wires will make the VSS speedo work. Hook up the the air intake, maybe Home Depot brand again, and that's preety much it for the big stuff.
