selling our 85 trans am!! 350 with vortec heads/cam/intake, runs 13s, CHEAP

Its time to sell my fiance's trans am, because we just dont' have the time or money to keep up with three hot rods, and we need to concentrate on school. I've put a lot of time into this car, and it is currently reliable enough to be driven EVERY SINGLE day from Pima West Campus to central Tucson, so there are no major problems with it. It will idle in Tucson traffic all day long. Cam is lumpy but not enough to affect drivability.

Ok here's the run down:

1985 Trans Am original miles unknown (doesn't matter, engine tranny and rearend are all non-stock items)

Recently rebuilt nice FIRM shifting 700R4 tranny (rebuitl just before I bought the car a year ago)

350 4 bolt main hi nickel block (0001 casting), new oil pan gasket, hi volume oil pump, few other odds and ends.

Rebuilt Vortec heads 059 casting, heavily ported exhaust ports, ported bowls, polished exhaust, aftermarket Teflon premium valve seals and hi lift Z-28 valve springs good to .550 lift. (less than 5,000 miles on the heads since rebuilt)

Comp Cams 268 extreme energy cam

Heddman 1 5/8inch headers, heddman y pipe, custom single 3inch exhaust with single in single out 3inch aerochamber muffler (done by Justin at Eastside Performance Exhaust) not too long, not very quiet either.

Pretty much new Performer RPM vortec intake manifold

BRAND NEW edlebrock 750 cfm carburetor. (still have manual and box for it)

brand new factory aluminum radiator.

electric fan conversion from TBI 305 car

3.42 open diff rearend

New alternater, battery, water pump, and a bunch of other parts I can't remember at the moment.

Car is primered right now and the body is straight, but would need some minor work if you wanted to get a real paint job on it. Car looks good the way it is though.

interior is good, but has some crappy seat covers I dont like that cover up some slightly torn seats, carpet has some stains in it, but everything else is pretty good.

This cam in the car currently has a worn #2 exhaust lobe right now due to a defective lifter and I will be replacing the cam and lifters with a comp 274 Cam this Saturday to remedy. Should add a few HP in the process.

This car ran a 13.9 @100 mph last December WITH the worn exhaust lobe (yeah I know been too lazy to fix it for a while now). With a properly functioning cam, it would definitely pull mid 13s at Tucson altitude. Car has the power even with the worn cam lobe to spin the tires through any gear you desire. Car has WAAY too much power for a girl IMHO which is why we want to sell it

I'll take more pictures of the engine and interior depending on the amount of interest I get.

Forgot to mention.....$2000 FIRM. This car has soo many hours of work into and $$$$$ of parts so I won't take less. Try and find a daily drivable 13 second car for cheaper, I dare you.

Car has a little bit of bondo...not a whole lot. mrt89rs's dad fixed the rear quarter panel when I bought hte car, but he mostly pulled the dent out, he didn't use a lot of bondo. I'd say it just needs a little bit of sanding and additional smoothing of the body before a paint job. Yes its T tops.

Why are you trying to get Chris in on it, he has a car that can beat me on the bottle. You on the other hand, don't.

Oh wow... the "just wait until I get ****" argument.

FYI, my Iroc is done. Yeah, done. It's in the 12 second range which was the goal for the car. And I just bought a house, which is why I'm broke. You live with your parents still, what's your excuse?

Hurry up and beat my damn car already. It's only got intake, exhaust, and nitrous. If Chris owned your car it'd be running low 11's. Get with the program.

Mike, your motor is still sitting in pieces at a machine shop, so until you have anything remotely resembling a complete functioning turnkey TUNED motor that can put down my firebird motor versus motor, stop with the damn $hit talking already. In the amount of time it takes you to get the pile running with the new motor, I'm willing to bet my firebird is a full second quicker with my upcoming planned mods. So ENOUGH already Mr. bench racing beotch. If you wanna keep saying "when I get my blah blah blah done I'm gonna beat ya down", I might as well come back with "when I get my roller cam in and port my heads and fix my tranny, ect.... I'm gonna beat you down", It makes just about as much sense.

I already beat your car on the motor now i need to beat your car on the bottle, wich will happen *** soon as i get back to tucson and put my car back together. Also if chris owned my car it would be running 14's(I don't think that he would have put a N2O kit on it) he has yet to get his own car to run 11's.
