They'd work, but you wouldn't see any gains. Might run rich tooo.
What was wrong with the 3.4? You'd see some gains with it if it can be repaired (and you could do quite a few Free upgrades to it before you swpaped it in...

They physically fit in, yes.
I belive tomp installed some 3.1's in his 2.8 and still passed emissions.
I'm not sure 3.4's in a 2.8 would work. Might need some serious internal engine work to make it work w/o editing the prom.

If I ran 350 TPI injectors for nearly 2 years, the 3.4 injectors will be fine.
I lost all the lean spots, and ran a little richer and got a "seat of the pants" and some umph back with the 350 injectors.
The thing I would do is this, install the injectors. Pull the ECM fuse to get the system to "reset and relearn". The system will relearn and adjust the fuel curve with the larger injectors and remove some pulse length to compensate.
You will get more fuel obviously, but not that the engine does not need, or does not use. At cold start, yes trust me it runs RICH, you can smell it. But after a few minutes it leans out to normal levels and runs like a champ.
The larger injectors will help stabilize the fuel supply and not starve it out.

They will fit.You will run a little rich but not to bad I think.
2.8 injectors are 15 lb/hr and 3.4 injectors are 17 lb/hr it's not a huge change as you can see.
