A nibble (see also: nybble) is 4 bits of a byte. It is either the upper 4 or the lower 4 together.

Seems in this case they are storing data in an format where the row is selected, then one of two nibbles from that row is selected.

Looking at the table $8563 values in hex helps.

Ok....

PE AFR thread

I remember reading this, but didn't understand a lot at the time. I do now.

More specifically, why the Limit factor itself? It's in the code just prior to the BPW being outputed. Next line after LE953 in the ANHT hac.
More code to trace.... I get completely lost when the CCR stuff goes on in the "background"

Got a few books on the way, hope they help.
