window weatherstrip (felts, sweeps)

Ive been searching and trying to find weather stripping for the windows.

Ive found a few places that sell the outer "sweeps" but i have yet to find an affordable source for the inner pieces. I've also found door weather stripping but im just looking for the pieces that sandwich the glass.

Can some one point me in the right direct of a quality aftermarket inner WINDOW weatherstrip or provide me with the correct GM part number?

Thanks
-Blyth

Sig -> Camaro Diags -> Door -> Glass & Hardware -> #4

Seems expensive from GM for w'strip but, it comes attached to the plastic trim that sits atop the doorpanel. Pay the little extra for GM.. it'll keep your foot from contacting your posterior down the road. Just my opinion though...

Yeah.. those are the correct #'s for the inner (#5). Not sure why I said #4 (which is the outer strips)

i tend to try and find some good used ones from the boneyard.
you can use "baby" zip ties if the felt is comming off. there are holes every now and then, or you can drill some. works great, and is a reallycheap fix!

the outer sweeps are the same price via GM
i only recommend GM weatherstripping... soffseal or the other off brands DO NOT match in quality.

i did find a source for the lil rubber seals for the front windows(slides down over the triangles) at www.paddock.com
brand new for 30 a set. ONLY place ive ever seen them new besides GM.

have fun.

ok. i ordered and recieved my GM out window weather strips. Now i must ask why are they so d@mn long. they must be 4-5 ft long.

Are they supposed to be cut to length? They just seem over sized. My car as at school being prepped for paint, so i havent gotten to look and see why they are oversized.

Calm my nerves folks

Thanks

Kind of the same phenom with tires looking huge (wide) off the car but like pizza cutters when on the car.

The top edge of the car door is 50.5" in length if it makes you feel any better about the size of the sweep.
