could someone help me with a quick color change?

well since my passenger door got bashed in by some jackass in my girlfriends neighborhood sunday night, and i can't find out who did it, looks like i'll have to pay for it myself. i need a new door, and will have to get the whole care repainted since it isn't really possible to match 17 year old white paint to new paint, so why not change it up?

could somebody photoshop the paint scheme from the black and orange car onto my white car? black on the bottom and that orange on the top. just a quick job will do, it's doesn't have to be perfect, i just want to see how it will work with the hood louvers, the Iroc decal, and the wheels.

thanks for the help guys

my car (before the door got smashed):

here is a real real quick job, if you have a better picture of your car, say, in the sunlight, I could make it look better.

heh, yeah that is kind of funny that you photoshopped the last one too. thanks alot for the photoshop, i'll try to find a better picture. when or if you do the new one, could you put a silver stripe between the black and the orange? it looks too much like a halloween theme with only black and orange. thanks alot.

ok, here it is with the stripe, but I kind of had a hard time getting the stripe to look like it was on the car rather than a silver bar that was laid on top the picture... Hope it gives you a decent idea...

Although I did put the stripe on after a trip to the bar, so it probably could look a little better when applied with a clear mind, but you hopefully should get the idea.. he he

*edit*
and the reason I ask for a better picture is because this one makes the cars paint look kind of dull, like a flat color rather than a glossy color. I can't see any shine. A little shine would make the colors look way better. Instead of the rattle can look that the black and orange give it now.

edit: could you make this one black on top and orange on the bottom? i just looked at the old photoshop's you did and decided i like black on top/orange on bottom better. thanks alot

Did you, per chance, get this idea from the 2nd-gen Camaro on one of the Summit catalogs recently? I think it would look good. I'd replace the hood slats with Z28 blisters.

.....I hate writing a post, hitting submit and having it deleted.......

I actually got the paint scheme idea from a Mustang in an AirRide ad, and wanted to see how it'd look on a third gen. Also, the photoshops a few months ago of (I think) Candied's car with maroon and black with a silver stripe in between made me wonder how this would look.

I filed a police report this morning, and just filed a claim with my insurance company. I only have limited coverage, but the representative I talked to today said this might possibly be covered under my uninsured motorist coverage (hit-and-run insurance). But I'll find out in a few days if I'm going to get any money from this. If I do, I'll almost definately get it painted this way, but if I don't get any insurance money, I'll probably just pay to get it fixed up to it's original state.

Here's a pic Spearson did earlier with the paint scheme I want. I just wanted to see how it'd look on my car, with my rims, and with the black Iroc decal on orange paint.

If I do get insurance money and get the car painted this way, I'm definately getting hood blisters to replace the louvers.

I am going to have to do it to the first picture, that second one is too bright. Wish you had a picture of the car in the sun. But i'll make do with what I got. Hopefully it'll look reasonable.

Thanks for the complements, I have the photoshop basics down fairly well, but some of the advanced things are beyond me..

here is another version of the paint scheme, this time I used Kandied's car, and I also made it into a convertable. heh, yeah, I was bored. The grey strip doesn't look good because I started to lose interest.

ok, one more request. could you change the orange to a bright red? i was just thinking, i have red interior and it would clash pretty bad with orange paint, so i might as well see how black and red would look. could you do it on the pic of my car (the side shot)? thanks alot.

new update...insurance guy came out today and gave me an estimate of $1100 to fix the damage, so if my insurance ends up covering it, that's $100 for a door and $1000 towards a paint job. we'll see how it turns out

just got a check in the mail for $1100 from my insurance company. have $600 to spend in the bank, and $700 more after i finish working christmas break, so i'm soon to be $100 away from a new paint job.
