Fuel injectors serviced - WOW

I am still building my TPI system to convert from my carb set-up. I sent in the stock injectors I pulled out of my recently acquired TPI set-up. I was leary of the condition of them so I figured I better send them into Cruizin Performance for a good servicing. Rich emailed me about a week after shipping them out and said they were done. He said the first time he put them on the machine to flow test them, none of them flowed AT ALL. He sent them through three rounds in the ultra sonic cleaning machine before the rust came out of them. Completely rebuilt all replaceable parts, cleaned again and then re-flow tested - All functioning perfectly now and look awesome! They looked like CRAP when I sent them to hima nd now they look like new with all new pintle caps, screens, o-rings. The flow meter he uses stops when 1 of the 8 injectors flows 100mls. They were all 98ml or higher when the first one hit 100ml, they are great now. I can only brag on what a little TLC to the injectors can accomplish. That would have been one hell of a mess when I put my system on the car and all the injectors were clogged. LOL

If you dont mind me asking how much does that cost, I was thinking of having them done just to be safe if it doesnt cost too much.

So how much? Is it T&M? Or test and advise? Flat rate? Just a ball park cost please.

My 30's are on the way back now.
The reporting he does is top notch too!
He helped me out a while back when there was really nothing in it for him at the time, just being helpful.
I was glad I could throw some business his way.
Truly one of the "good guys" out there.

Its just real nice to know the injectors will all work perfectly when installed and its one less thing to worry about.

I agree about Rich being top notch and he even cleaned my ninth injector for FREE - unbelievable. It cost me $105 for all 9 including shipping. His print sheet even gives you how many pounds the injectors are flowing at to. Highly recommended guy to work with. He explained a lot of common fuel injection stuff for me and also gave me the GM part number to replace all the o-rings in the rest of the fuel rail system - cant wait to get this thing together.

Cruzin' Performance has always performed excellent services for me. Rich is an honest, stand-up guy (but very busy). I wouldn't hesitate to send him any set as a repair or even a maintenance function (and have done so). He'll even advise if the injectors are worth the service or not, and turn down the business rather than take the cash and run.

I sent in a set of LT1 injectors, expecting the full service and billing for that. The email report I received indicated that the injectors were fine, flowed perfectly as received, and came back with new screens, caps, etcetera. I could have just as easily been told that they were cleaned and flow-matched, and would have gladly paid the $11 (at the time) each, but instead got them back for $5 each. I wouldn't have known any better, and would have been just as happy either way. Rich knows he could have charged for the full service, but did the upstanding thing and played it straight. People like that are getting harder to find, and deserve all the business they earn.

It doesn't surprize me at all that you got excellent service and excellent results. It's just good to hear that it's "business as usual" over there.

I have used his services twice--once for my car--once for a friends.

I HAVE ONLY THE HIGHEST RESPECT FOR RICH AND HIS SERVICE!!!

It is refreshing in this day and age to find ANYBODY that goes the extra mile for his customers, and he sets the standard for all others to be judged by.

Got an email from Rich saying he shipped my injectors back today, so I should hopefully have them in my hands in a few days. He also sent me a link to a page on his site showing the flow stats on them. I made a jpg of it so you guys could see.

I'm yet another happy customer of Rich's. I haven't had him do any injector work yet, but I bought my Accel TPI baseplate from him. I wound up calling him on a sunday afternoon and he was more than willing to answer all my questions, and we even shot the bull for a little while. It was the first time I ever talked to him and it was like talking to a well known friend.

I can't say enough good things about Rich. I wish there were more businesses in this hobby that had guys like him.

Looks awesome, I am def. going to have to do this now after hearing all the good stuff said about Rich, will this smooth out the idle at all or make it run better? I really want to do this because the car has alot of miles and is stock.

I imagine that works, but it's not going to be as good as sending them out to be cleaned. I had leaky fuel injectors, and Rich said they leaked because they were dirty. Prior to sending them in, I ran two cans of fuel injector cleaner and it did not help one bit. But when I got them back from Rich, no more leaking

There is no such thing as self cleaning injectors. Some are less prone to buildup than others, but they can't clean themselves. Also any product you throw in your gas tank is basically not good for anything more than preventative maintenance.

Well I got them back today. I can't believe it they look like they are brand new. Here are a couple pictures.

Well I got them installed and the car is now up and running again. Holy crap what a difference. I can't believe how much smoother she runs. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. Major props go out to Rich. He did an amazing job.

I'm looking forward to having mine serviced by him too. The guy in this post who mentioned "self-cleaning" injectors is probably referring to the rochester multec injectors gm used in the later years of tpi. I have a set of those and a set of the bosch style ones with the aluminum pintle caps. I emailed Rich and asked him which ones would be better to use, and he emailed me back and said definitely the bosch ones. He said the multecs are more prone to failure than any other injector and the best thing I could do with them is throw them in the trash. Well since I usually can't bring myself to throw away something that's still possibly of use, I'll probably sell them to some poor ebay slob. With all the great things everyone says about Rich, there's really no other choice for injector service as far as I'm concerned!
