Pics of my 91 Z28 w/ my friends mustang - 1024x768

I haven't posted pictures in a couple of years so I figured I'd go out and get some new one's this past weekend. I've since had the car repainted Viper GTS Blue and a 3" Harwood cowl, added C5 wheels, C5 front brakes, 4thgen rear with new Motive 3:73 gears, T56 6 speed and then had it removed and rebuilt, SLP Loudmouth, pretty much an entire new suspension/front end rebuild, new stereo and many other odds and ends you can see in the link below. I only have exterior shots for now since the motor is basically stock and dirty and the stereo is still a mess as always.. The motor will be the next big project if I ever feel like spending anymore money. I've already got more than $20k in this car as it is.. For a full list of mod's you can visit this link: http://www.thirdgenfbodies.com/forum...&CODE=12&CID=1

On to the pics.. Yeah the Harwood cowl fits like crap as I've mentioned in several other threads in the past, I've learned to deal with it.. My fog lights are a little out of whack and one has some condensation in it and I still want to get clear side markers and new front turn signals and I have to replace the SLP Loudmouth tips beacuse the exhaust heated up real bad and they discolored.. Otherwise let me know what you think

I'm betting it's not the exact color.. It's the color I picked out of the shops book of colors and it was labeled Viper GTS Blue.. Either way I like the way it came out.

Which car is faster? :P

Also, is your rear ground effect on properly? It looks crooked.

Car looks amazing. I love that color and the Y2K's. Did you have to get the Loudmouth altered so it would fit your car or did it bolt right up?

Both of your cars look amazing, i still like how much more aggressive the 3rd gens look compared to the fox bodies. Only thing i suggest is some tire shine, for both of you

Rock on brother.......that's a hot looking car! I'd put my money on it over the stang lol The stang is also a good looking car. I am a fan of that body style.

The fronts are 17's and the rear's are 18's like the vette. I would have got all 18's but tires are just too expensive.

I kept telling him that but someone didn't feel like stopping to put it on!

Mufflex put on the loudmouth.. It does need slight modification to fit on to a thirdgen but not alot. but the resonator hangs REALLY low, they prob could have made it sit higher I bet.. I had a stainless pipe coming out of my cat to about halfway through the door I guess and he just welded on a 3 bolt flange on that end and cut off a peice of the LM I-pipe and welded another 3 bolt flange on that end and bolted it together.. I had him do that so I had a way to remove the exhaust so I could drop my fuel tank to change the pump while I had the rear out when I installed the 4thgen rear.

Yeah the mustang is faster since hes got a cam and a few other things done.. My motor will get redone some day but that's whenever I feel like putting that huge chunk of cash into it all at once.. Everything else has been done over a few years, a motor will be pretty costly all at once.

beuatiful cars. id say thats the best way to spend 20k if its not an investment. and i love what you did with the third brake light among the other things the people said. my hood lines up exactly the same way, but it is stock. im guessing because of the front end accident it was in. i just got mine 2 months ago, a completely finished project, and ive already but almost 300 in it, and i want more, more more

The third brake light, I installed it but I didn't make it so I can't take credit for it.. I bought it from a user on this site who makes them, his site is http://www.custom-leds.com/

Honestly, I'm not sure if anything can really be done with the hood, it is already sitting a little low to the tops of the fenders so the hood is as far down as it can go, the only thing else would be the bumper cover coming up and I'm not sure how that goes. Harwood seriously needs to redo their thirdgen hoods, especially since they are like $560 shipped which is more than Cervini's, the only difference is the pics I see here of the fit of Cervini's are just brilliant.

the cervini is actually the only after market 3rd gen hood i actually like, besides a basic cowl. i like the original louvered z28 hood just as much, but they are too much (cervinis). good luck with that.

Don't think I'm "hating on Fords" but...

Do Fox Body Mustangs look like they have downs syndrome?
Those HUGE headlights on a car that looks like it's smiling all the time? Even the body kind of looks like a tempo...

Now don't get me wrong, '67 stang is a great car, and I even like the 05/06 models, but they went way wrong in the design department on that car, in my opinion...

Yep 17x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear.. 275/35/18 rear and 245/45/17 in the front.. Kumho were the cheapest decent tire I could get and they only made a 35 tire in the 18" size or I would have gotten 40 instead..

Wow, Nice cars! TR, huh? Do you happen to work/shop at Kohl's? I've seen a blue 91-92 Z on the lot while taking the exit off the parkway and there aren't many late 3rd gen Camaros around Dover Twp! If you are looking for some more f-bod friends in the area, check out NJFBOA. Mostly caters to the younger set, but there are some other middle-agers on there! See ya around... --John

I bought the wheels about 2 1/2 years ago so its all a bit fuzzy.. I got them from aaarims.com, these are O.E.R. (orginal equipment reproductions).. It appears they changed their name to lakeshore wheel and tire and have a little bit different website, but from what I gather from reading the site it looks like the fronts are +56mm and the rears are +65mm..

Unfortunately no garage for the camaro so the moisture in the winter I guess has ruined the insides of the wheels, you can kinda see it in the pics that the chrome has pitted.. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't need the adapters in the front and have that extra 2" of space between the brakes and the wheel.. The actual chrome part of the wheels has held up pretty good though.. I see they are about $100 cheaper per set than when I bought them. If I had cash I'd get a set of those CCW SP500 wheels, but I just don't have $2500 set aside for wheels then more for 18" tires.. Awesome wheel though, I'll never fork over that much cash for em though.

The day I got the C5's when they were in perfect shape, too bad they don't still look this good. http://www.thirdgenfbodies.com/forum...arage_mod&id=1

GTP is correct I don't work or shop there so it's someone else you're seeing.. I just moved to Toms River from Sayreville last Halloween and now everytime I go out it's a 40-50 mile trip to work or friends
