turn signal lever

how hard is it to change the turn signal lever? whats involved? i cant shut off my windshield wipers because its so worn out, nothing clicks its all loose. any help appreciated

You don't have to change the turn signal lever, probably just the wiper switch. The switch is located in the "hump' on the left side of the upper bowl of the steering column, and you might not even have to remove the steering wheel to replace the switch.

Once you remove the lower cover, you should be able to get a good look at what's in there. The signal lever should just pull straight out of the column, but be very careful not to get too wild and pull the cruise control wires out of the lever.

The following diagram may help, but I have to warn you that it is fairly large. I hope it helps:
