355 and 700 R-4 for sale and possible ehaders
Hey guys im selling my 355 from my z28, as well as my 700 R-4, heres the mod lists of each and what i would like to get for them.
355:
.030" TRW hyperetechtic .125" dome pistons
World products S/R tourwuer heads
GM Cast crank (sent out and magnafluxed/ground .010/.010)
GM "Pink" rods (once again shot peened and magnafluxed, also with ARP bolts (forget the name but there the second stage of bolts not the first if you look int he summit magazine the better bolts)
ZZ4 cam, and ZZ4 valve springs (not installed but i will include them if you would like to set them up, the ones on the heads are adequate enough for the cam)
Summit racing 1.5 roller tip rockers
High volume/High pressure oil pump
The engine was built by a GM technician thats been building engines for the last 20 years. this motor has pushed my white camaro into the 13.2x's with a stock TPI system, and a stock EPROM. It has about 9000 miles on it, and runs good as new. I am looking to get 2800 OBO but wont ship it, i might be able to meet half way somewhere for an extra cost. Let me know, and if you have any questions let me know. This is just for the long block, minus the intake, and distributor. It has always had Mobil 1 synthetic 10-30 ran in it.
The transmission:
1988 700 R-4 (auxiliary valve body)
Red eagle 9 shoe clutch pack
drilled 1-2, 3-4 apply holes
corvette servo
Extended pin
Fresh fluid (just did a trans flush about a month ago)
4L60-E internals, including sunshell
It shifts Very firm, if you manually shift it or leave it in D, if it is in OD then it is a smooth shift depending on how hard y ou are on the gas. Does not make any noise, and is a bitchin transmission, ask 8T8IROC and 1FASTGTA about it, and how it shifts, its a very well built trans. Was built by a Certified GM technician, and is put together right. I would like to get 800 OBO for the trans and will not ship it. Although i may be able to meet someone halfway to pick it up for some extra money.
I also have a set of Edelbrock T.E.S. headers that will be for sale if i sell the motor, they include the 2.5" y-pipe, and a pre cat cut-out. I would like to get about 150.00 for the set, but am open to offers. They are not coated, or painted. But there not in too bad of shape either.
Thanks for looking
Any questions let me know

Steve's Dad has been trying to convince him to just get a pre-smog car for his 'race' car, but since Steve's family is moving Steve needed to get a more commuter car so for right now he has decided to try to sell off the motor, trans, and headers from his Z28 project.

Hmm...Ill have to talk to him tonight! Somedays he just want to get rid of it, somedays he talks about his next plans for it-but at least he finally put a "For Sale" sticker on it!
How much is left of the car? is it a full car? Thats kinda why hes selling it, he needs a street legal car(that or the money to get his license back! But considering he just missed another court date-Got caught on his Quad driving down the street-I dont think he'll be getting his license back anytime soon!) post/PM me with the details!
Ill Definalty run this past him...

I like it!Of course we would have to choose which Blazer to keep, 2 gas guzzling Blazers is too many! You know, hes been talking about stripping his Blazer and putting the crate motor and all the suspension mods on mine...

Wow I never wanted a quad until I saw that thing... Ill trade you that short block I have for it. Forged everything. No heads though. Sold those off. I just bought a new avalanche so the Camaro sits. When I move in January it will become the sanding and priming project. Should be fun.

(he also details his riding boots, chest guard, and helmet!!!)...Ill be out sitting with him while he cleans/works on the quad and Ill offer to help dry it or something, and Ill end up detailing it anyways cause I cant stand to watch him use the wrong cleaner on the wrong parts! Im begining to think it intentional, I didnt think he was THAT smart!(Best way to get dad to do something around the house- Start it yourself, but use the wrong tool/method, act like your having difficulties, screw something up...and before you know it he'll push you out of the way and start doing it the "right" way...grab a drink and a seat, and watch him finish the job! LOL!
"Set a date yet?"
marriage?
No, but we talk about it alot and one day we will, no rush! Besides he just got divorced a few years ago and Im only 21!!!(granted my dad married my mom when he was 21, and I went to 2 this year and have 3 weddings to attend for friends my age next year...eek! I dont feel old enough to be married yet!!!) Member

Thats our goal, to own a place with plenty of land...need room for the shop, ATV track, RC track, bike jumps, and maybe some trails/obsticals for our K5s(he wants to build a 4x4 course out here since there arent any in SO-Cal-but that will take much more land!)...I want to be able to run my quad around my property/fire up racecars/play loud music, and get NO complains from neighbors-I dont even want to be able to see my neighbors!

Heck I have my IROC, Steve's Dad's '65 300L (in the two car garage) DS 90, Blaster YFZ450, Two Raptor 700rs (in the shop), their 35' Motorhome, a car trailer with a car on it, and I still have parking for about 4 trucks and a car or so on my own driveways
Plus with all the land behind the house we have a great place to relax and ride - of course we try to be a bit courteous to the neighbors, one already told us to ride whenever we want because he doesn't mind the dust, that leaves two other neighbors but we try to make sure to never ride too late at night and I am working on trying to keep the ground a bit moist to keep the dust down
