heads can be saved, they have small nicks in them will need to be resurfaced and vaccum checked for the valves to be straight,

the intake manifold and heads are gonna need a good couple of runs through the jetwash as in the pics you can see there was a chunk of piston in the plenium upon removal, and alot of flakes.

the cam i am unsure of we didnt remove it id be afraid to use it since the motor just seized up on him.

I don't think the cam will be salvageable look at the pic down the bore and see where the big end of the rod is, or should be

Ya, that's pretty much a what a "blown up" engine looks like.

Travis,

I've a bare 4bolt 2-pc RMS block you can have if your budget is tight, it has no main caps and you'd have to run a different flex plate and crank. In fact I have a 1pc crank you can have as a core too, if your's is shot, as well a a few extra good rods if you're going to the machine shop.

It's a standard bore that can take .030 no problem.

YES, that is great stuff, lol (not the situation, but gotta love it when people take pics of that stuff)

i hope you didn't warp that head too much though

i wouldn't use anything but the topend if i were you... rip off the timing cover, water pump, and oilpan, and junk the whole shortblock.

I got a piston from a buddies 350 we built over one summer... it lasted until the end of that winter (i told him to go forged if he wanted to spray but he was cheap). it kissed a 200 wet shot a little too close one time, I'll dig it up and post a pic sometime, its pretty cool looking

big hole melted right through one side of it
