Where can I find ECU files for WinBin?

Dan Townsend has one for the '89 '165 ECM (6E code) at:

That's the only one I know of besides the one that comes with WinBin...

You change the extension of the file to .ecu

WinBin is under brief revision to repair a very few bugs, so look for the new issue soon! I'm posting a revised $6E 165 ecu file. It will be located at:
http://members.home.com/craigmoates/gmecm/

I'll call it '165_6E_1.ecu'. It was created in collaboration with Eric Aos, Dan Townsend, and several others. Wouldn't have been possible without folks like almighty Bruce, TunerCat & Diacom (motivators), and of course, GM. If anyone has suggestions on what should be included/excluded/corrected, let 'er rip! There's no such thing as good enough.

Greg Westphal was kind enough to help with revisions. I've posted the results in the form of an update '165_6E_2b.ecu'. However, it is still in anticipation of the WinBin revision.

 

Is there an .ecu file for the 7746 computer for the 90-92 TBI's??

Hi

Have just downloaded APYP_7165_89vette.ecu and APYP_7165_89vette.bin.
Loaded both files into WinBin, but WinBin won't accept the ecu-file. The output from WinBin is: ECU file error, error in ECU file.
This also happens with all the other files I've tried.
What's wrong??

Probably have a bad copy of WinBin... I'd try to download it again and try it again.
