Can I put a LT1 block and heads under my TPI?
I am having doubtful thougts about the OptiSpark and the water pump, since they are both cam driven. I was looking into putting a 25K-35K mile LT1 block under my TPI so I can step up to a 350. I'll probably use the LT1 heads also, if I can. Any thoughts?

Can't do it. It's either go all LT1, or L98. pretty much the only realistically useful thing you can swap between the motors are the cams.

to put a TPI on a LT1 you'd just have to change the intake bolt pattern, and block off the front thermostat housing. The distributer should go in fine.

why would you do that.
the stock 350/305 TPI is fine for a 305(mostly) and chokes out on a stock 350.
now put the LT1 in there and it would choke out faster, like 3000rpm i would guess.
so if you take the time to put a LT1 in go all out and get the newer computer and stuff.

The LT1 intake will pull to 7000rpm easily, just make sure your vavletrain is up to it.

That is what I gathered from the original reply.
