I got no idea how I'm going to mount the bottle for my n2o. I can't use the trunk b/c I got a battery back there now. Its just a 10# bottle. I didn't think would be that hard.
l've never seen a bottle mounted in the fenderwell, l think you mean the spare tire copmpartment, what l think you should do is maybe switch the battery into the spare tire compartment, and mount the bottle in the trunk well. if you mount the bottle in the spare tire compartment it will be difficult to access when you either need to exchange bottles, or get that one filled. the battery is less of a maintenance item and can stay in there for months on end, if you do decide to put the battery in there, make sure the area is well ventilated and the battery is mounted well to keep it away from being shocked and damaged.

he is right about the mounting scheme of putting the battery in the spare tire well and the bottle in the drivers side similar compartment. it is the most ideal from a weight transfer point of view. I found from expirience that an opposite arangement was more practical on the 1985 I used to have. the bottle in the spare tire well (because it has to go in and out all the time) with its larger opening. and the battery (which did not need to be messed with) in the less accessable driverside compartment.

How did you mount your battery? I got a battery box from Summit. It won't fit in those side compartments.

I broke the rules for sleeper perposes, I got a fake (just empty) demonstration battery from a parts house and put it up front just for looks (and it gives me a spot for jumpstarts/charging and mounted an optima in the previously mentioned area with a simple battery tray. you must remove that whole portion of the interior and then reinstall it, thats why I went with an optima.
