a/c removal

Hey guys, I have a 1988 Iroc-Z28 camaro with a 350tpi engine. I plan to take out my a/c compressor. I wanted to know what size of a belt should I use. Also someone told me that I should move my alternator to where the a/c compressor was, so that it balances out the accesories for the engine to turn. Thanks for any input.

You have 2 choices here.

1) buy the "a/c delete pulley" from GM for about $30
2) leave the dead compressor there (not hurting anything)

I've never seen anyone come up with a way of re-routing the belt. I don't think its possible. I bought the delete pulley. If you do a search you'll find the GM part number ...I forget it.
