I have asked this several times, but nobody seems to anwer me directly.....they alwayz get off onto another topic. I want to know how many of you have gun-metal grey camaros w/ gunmetal grey ground effects....i beleive that it is called monochrome gunmetal grey. I was told camaros didnt come that way, but I have one sitting outside my house now. So show me some pics of your gunmetal grey camaros here please Heres a few of mine.

Here's mine. It needs a paint job and new hood, but yes, the ground fx are gunmetal gray also.

So are you saying that it's rare? That would make my day. And that Iroc is awesome man. But hey, it's no 89 RS, so that makes 1 RS that I know of, 1 88 Iroc, and there is a 89 camaro w/o GFX on it that color around in a closeby town...so 2 w/ GFX and 1 w/o. Anyone else got one? I'm really looking for one some like mine year and all, but any will do since nobody can seem to provide pics but me and Rocky.

 

One of my old lab partners from college had a 90 RS, it was gunmetal with gunmetal gfx. It was an L03/auto combo.

 

There's a 91 RS v6 near me for sale gunmetal grey/grey fx. If it weren't for the price tag I'd get it to replace my dieing hunk of crap camaro.

Sweet, I love seeing all the gun metal cars show your firebird 88, I'd like to see it. I heard that it is one of the rarest colors on the Firebirds. All these seem to have pretty good paint on them. Here's a few more of mine for Bill. They're a little older, but hey, it still looks good. It was bad weather out this day and I had to get the digital camera back to school that day so I snapped these in about 5 minutes, so they're not the greatest. That thing hanging off of my rear view mirror is a warning for loud exaust/ecxcessive acceleration. He knew I had my stereo up over the legal amount, but he couldn't hear it cuz of my exaust so I didn't get written up for it. I hung it right as he handed it to me and that PISSED him off somethin fierce, but he's a d1ck anywayz, so im over it.

Are you saying that only RS's got monochrome gunmetal grey from 89 to 91? Also, does that say how many came w/ like v-6 5 speeds and stuff like that? Where can I get one of those books or is it on the net somewhere? Any info would be great, and thanx for the numbers

 

this is my bro's 84 camaro sport coupe when he first got it in 98. Weve repainted it and pulled out the MPFI V6 and put in a TPI 350.

I use to have an 89 rs gunmetal with the color same skits, well I still do except its a blue/purple pearl colour now. Yes yes you are probably going to yell at me for getting rid of that gunmetal but it had to be done, I needed a change! But I will say I always did like that color combo really nice, especially with my grey leather!

I myself am actually looking at going to silver, but I don't think I'll have the money to do it so I guess I'll stick with the Gunmetal Grey and just get my bumper/front end repainted....thats all that needs it anywayz. And the gunmetal grey is a very nice color. Do you got a pic of your car? I'd like to see the blue/purple color.

 

What color did they switch to in 92. My stripes look like gunmetal grey. They are 92' medium mettalic grey. Just wondering cause the stripes look the same as your cars.

 

According to the book it was only RSes after 88. I got my book from www.chaptersindigo.ca (actually one of their stores) but you may want to try amazon.com or even a local book store. I paid $13cdn for mine just last year

My wife's car was painted Gunmetal Gray, it was originally some dark shade of red, unlike my car.
It does look good.

 

here is mine but the ground afects use to be silver on this 88 sc that had a 2.8

 

i feel that this is one of the best colors for our cars looks sooo sleek

I have noticed that alot of people seem to be missing badges on the side GFX. Do they fall of that easily or is it just because the cars are old? Also, I haven't seen any with the light grey pinstripe on the side besides mine, anyone else have it?

irocdan, That is the sweetest convertable camaro i have ever seen im loven it.. what size rims are them and tires? how much is that car lowerd? mine is droped about 1 inch but i love the stance yours has truely AWSOME!!!

Hey TFM4th, surprisingly enough (and I know I am going to catch some flack for this one) it is a Honda colour! Yes a ***** colour! From what I was told by my buddy who laid the paint down for me it was a special order on the 00/01 honda SIR's (ricejobs)

The colour is kinda screwed up cuz its got this weird pearl in it so sometimes it looks blue...sometime it looks purple.....sometimes kinda pink, sorta weird, but it looks good with the gray leather inside.

Another colour to think of if you are looking to change from the gunmetal to something kinda blue is the blue they painted the older Grandsport vetts or that nice blue on the new vetts, thats my 2cents.

You'd like the bra if you seen what is under it....But ya, I really don't like them either, but you can see why I put it on, it will come off when I get it repainted. Which aftermarket steering wheel would you suggest?
