Re: Swaybars

Base model cars didn't have rear swaybars in the early years.

Get the front and back bars from the doner car as they need to be matched unless you are mismatching them for a specific reason.

In the alternative, you could just look up the various combinations from the factory and get a rear which is the same or close to what you need to match the front bar.

The thing to avoid is getting it totally wrong and making the car too loose or oversteer which means that the back will want to come around all the time.

In addition, bars are matched to spring rates but that probably isn't going to be an issue for average street applications.

Re: Swaybars

You'll also need the brackets that mount the rear swaybar endlinks to the frame.

Re: Swaybars

From what I've read so far '86 was the first year the Sport Coupe, and Berlinetta, came standard with fron and rear bars(basically RPO-F41 became standard).

As Apeiron noted you'll need the rear brackets to mount the rear bar ends links to the frame. And as George noted it's best to get them from the same car for compatibility front/rear for balanced handling.

As I understand it, the holes for the brackets will be there, but you may need to tap them. There was a recent link involving this topic.
