WHEELS ARE SOLD, THANKS

These are off my 1988 Trans AM and are in very very good condition. I would rate them 9 out of 10. 16x8 2 Fronts and 2 Rears. They are all a matching original dimple GM set, NOT reproductions.

Each wheel has been stripped and cleaned by hand. Centers were repainted black with PPG paint and then cleared. The lips were sanded and polished to a mirror shine and NOT cleared. Each wheel took about 10 hours from start to finish and look incredible. Have not been mounted or used since restored

Comes with center caps in very good condition, but emblems are not included.

The wheels are not perfect but very close, one has a small 3" spot of very minor rash that was filed down and very hard to see when mounted on a tire(would not show up in pic). Two small bumps in the outer lip (pic) The center cap area on one has a small chip but cannot be seen with the cap on (pic). Each wheel has a few very hard to see specs, but were filed smooth then polished. You would have to get on your hands and knees to see any of the imperfections and to me are not visible when mounted on the car.

Asking $425 for the set, will not separate

wow, great price! I know firsthand what is involved in making these wheels look good, they are a pain in the *** to tape and paint, and polish also. If i were ever to sell mine it wouldnt be for $500.

They are nice, but why put this much effort into them when you can buy perfect new ones that were made from original dies from GM at classic industries?

to help the seller, this is my 92 z28 with the same wheel on it... I went through the same hell stripping, sanding and polishing....

Keep in mind mine are 4 fronts (wanted the same offset all around and the same lip size all around)


as for the classic industries ones... I know one advantage to the original gm gta wheels was weight... they are at least 10 lbs lighter than any other 16 inch thirdgen wheel. Most reproduction wheels are heavy as hell.

I actually bought a new set of the early 15" camaro wheel center caps, then shortened the cap itself so it would clip into the gta wheel. Im not sure if the inserts are the same size as the bird caps or not, so i diddnt want to go that route... You cannot tell however that these caps were not meant for these wheels though
