Price Reduced-Complete 3" Catback Exhaust System
Tim from Wyoming...82601
I tried to answer all possible questions here in my post. Please read entire post before asking questions. YES, it is $159.00 shipped to anywhere in the states, except Hawaii or maybe Alaska. This means you pay $159.00, and I will ship the exhaust to your door.
PayPal is timmytina350@msn.com
Up for sale is my nearly brand new Classic Chambered Exhaust catback system. It utilizes a Powerstick chambered muffler. It's a nice exhaust system that was welded together nicely at Rick's Rod Shop here in Casper, Wyoming. There is no packing material in the muffler--it DOES NOT sound like a glasspack--it sounds way nicer.
Price: only $159.00 shipped
Why I am selling it: I am putting a fire breathing 383 engine in my car and need long tube headers and custom Y-pipe, and I have a dual exit exhaust to swap in, along with my engine swap.
This exhaust is pretty much brand new and in excellent condition. I only ran it for 3 months, before I yanked the old engine out.
What you'd be getting:
-36" Classic Chambered Exhaust Powerstick Muffler--3.5" overall diameter--3" flowpath with all 3" aluminized steel piping from catalytic converter location all the way back to the exit tip
All hangers are in place....just bolt it in and weld or fasten it to your catalytic converter or y-pipe, or have a shop do it.
Muffler is made of 16 gauge steel, both the inside section and the outer shell.
I don't need a cat here in Wyoming, so the system doesn't have a cat. You can weld it to your existing cat or get a cat for it...your choice.
FLOW: Here is the website for the muffler portion of the exhaust, and there are sound clips too (my sound video is below): http://classicchambered.com/
FITMENT/INSTALLATION: It is very simple and clean. This exhaust system runs in the stock location on our cars, and it fits perfectly and has the same or better ground clearance as our stock systems.
The hangers are already in place on the piping, so all you have to do is bolt them down (two of them).
YES, it attaches to the stock Y Pipe!!!! It is a single exit, single pipe system that runs in STOCK location and goes over the axle, and the tip is tucked under somewhat so it doesn't stick out and look retarded. The tip is angled toward the ground and out the back and works very well.
SOUND: It sounds frickin' awesome, especially in person. There are some really nice "sweet spots" at cruising RPMs, both on the highway and on the streets.
And here is a video/sound clip of this exhaust on my stock 305 Z28 with a set of Hedman shorties http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdPS84W8nRo
SHIPPING:
A. I will cut the exhaust at the front portion where the pipe meets the muffler, leave the middle section with muffler and portion of tailpipe intact, and cut the tail section that goes over the axle, so you will receive the exhaust in three pieces that will be marked so it will be easy to line it up and weld it again.
B. I will cut only the section that goes over the axle and put the exhaust in a larger box (I would charge $199.00 shipped if you want this option, since the box will be nearly twice as long)
The whole setup:

The powerstick muffler portion:

Re: F/S: Coated Hedman Headers, Y-Pipe, & FULL exhaust
The Y-pipe is still attached to the rest of the exhaust, which is still hanging under the car....the car has been parked for almost 8 months, so no weather has touched the exhaust.
I'll get a picture of it when I get the rest of the system out of there.

I haven't removed the exhaust from under the car yet. I'll post pics when I do. It's just a Hedman Y-Pipe for third gens.

Single or dual cat? If single, 3" outlet?

If my system had or needed a cat, it would have a single cat, behind the y pipe. I don't need one here in Wyoming. It's 2.5 inch inlets and a 3 inch outlet.

Re: F/S: Coated Hedman Headers, Y-Pipe, & FULL exhaust
How much for everything besides the muffler shipped?
Is the ypipe 2.5" or 3"? Headers are 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 to 2.5 or 3"?
very interested!
Also wanted to ask if you could take a picture of the setup, underneath the whole vehicle. I might purchase it with the muffler.. was debating between this or the slp loudmouth shotgun with a dual exit, muffler before the s pipe

haven't removed it from under the car yet. I'll try to get to it tomorrow or Tuesday. It's practically brand new, though, if that makes you feel better.

I reduced the prices again.
I apologize for the wait on the pictures. I drive a truck for a living and have been working a lot and have not been able to do get pics of the exhaust yet. I will do it as soon as I can. Again, sorry for the wait.

Re: F/S: price lowered: Coated Hedman Headers, Y-Pipe, & FULL exhaust
Guys, if you want cheap Flowtech headers and a crappy Flowtech Y-pipe, then just go buy them at AutoZone.
You get what you pay for.
Here you have a great deal on Hedman parts, which are, in fact, better than Flowtech parts.
And the Powerstick Muffler was built by Classic Chambered Exhaust, here in the USA.
Any other questions, feel free to ask.
And yes I know...you're waiting to see pics of the y-pipe and the rest of the system.

The exhaust will weld or bolt up to the stock y-pipe.

AGAIN......this exhaust runs in the stock location and, therefore, will mount to the y pipe without modification.

How would you ship it? It appears that the whole assembly is welded together. I'm wondering how loud this would be behind my Procharged 383?

Re: F/S: Low Price for a Nice Exhaust System
It’s a single system. I would cut it in three pieces and mark it so it would be easy to weld it back together.
It would sound nice with a 383 in my opinion. Did you check out my sound video?

Re: F/S: Low Price for a Nice Exhaust System
Single.
Aluminized steel piping and 16 gauge steel muffler flow core and outer shell.
I would cut it right before the muffler portion and ship that part, the muffler part, and the over the axle tail part.
It would fit nicely in a fairly decent sized box.
it's a nice exhaust guys.

Re: F/S: Low Price for a Nice Exhaust System
The nice thing is that this exhaust is inexpensive yet good.
I just want to go with the dual tailpipe look when my 383 is installed.
This exhaust will sort of tuck up under the rear a little so it's not so visible, but it sounds dang good and will last many years.
