Sorry no info besides the engine was bought from a member on here as a 355 and sent by myself for machine work and I used an Eagle Stroker Kit.
For the price I'm willing to let this go though it's well worth it. I'm willing to let the whole car go for the price I paid for the hood!

The car needs the heads torqued I didn't have a wrench and timing set. Since I didnt tork the heads I didnt try to start it to save the gaskets!

So now you let them know it don't run? It needs put back together? And it will need hauled away? No motor specs but its a 383? Sounds scetchy but that's just me.

Re: '87 Iroc Fresh 383 Stroker TPI

Well first off I bought the engine from a member on here, I don't give two ***** about this car to be honest, if you know how to use the search function you will see three things
1. I just bought a beast Iroc
2. I stated the iroc isn't running in my original ad and subsequent ads
3. The member that I bought the engine from is on this site!

If you aren't interested keep it moving.....
Yes the heads need to be torqued, the TPI is installed on it now but of course its going need to be removed to torque properly. For $400 though you guys are looking for a steal of the century. I sold my red iroc in my sig with a blown motor and after the rear caught on fire for $800 so get that it sounds sketchy **** out of here.
Like I said if you know how to do a search you will see I bought a good motor from a fellow member on here.
Thank You But I really don't have patience or really care if I sell it through you guys or not. Just thought I'd help someone out!
I got my Dream Iroc and GSX-R!

Re: '87 Iroc Fresh 383 Stroker TPI

Does anyone else see $400 on any other thread but the last 2? just curious?
im pretty sure im the one that told you that you should of bumped your other post. maybe cause it has more valuable information like that the car isnt running? if your price is $400 post it cause noone had seen that untill now. $1500obo was the last price. i found out $400 threw another member on here on a text. congrads on the new camaro. hope you dont have the same problems selling that one in the future.

I didn't post it cause I told different people different prices, thank you for busting me out, LOL! Seriously though I would take $400, do your search you'll see where I bought the engine! And I doubt I have a hard time trying to sell my stick Iroc because I won't be selling it!
Someone get this if not the city will come take it for free!

I think you should clearly state what is wrong with your car in one post , tell people it is not drivable. tell people the price you want. I can see why you did not get the asking price. Also might want to post a pic of the casting number or some actaul info that can prove that it is a 383 and not some pos 305

Here I'll do the search for you!

Another thing how is the casting from a 350 block going to prove it's a 383 stroker?

casting numbers will tell him if its at least a 350 not a 305 like he said.

Gee I think I just implied when I asked what the numbers off a 350 block will prove! You still have to verify the cranks and balancer

No Problem! Might want to post some pictures of the interior also. Looks like sasquatch's sister lived in there. Might call discovery channel, they might use it for evidence. Or jack links might use it in one of there jerky commercials.

Re: '87 Iroc Fresh 383 Stroker TPI

The car and myself is in Columbia! I realized my profile reflected the wrong information too late! Price reflects that! If you go the the page where I bought the engine you'll see I paid more for it plus shipping so basically you're either getting a free rolling chassis with tranny or a free engine and paying for the rolling chassis however you look at it!
$400 moves it out no lower
Thank You everyone that has taken time out their day to look and my apologies to anyone that I may have gotten an attitude with, yesterday was just not my day I am sorry, it wasn't called for!

Ok, Cool I'm tracking! I just want this car to go to someone that'll do something with it instead of the city taking it away! Since I got my other IROC they have been leaving tickets everyday!

Re: '87 Iroc Fresh 383 Stroker TPI

Thanks for lowering the price to $150 for me. I was actually kind of upset when I left the first time after turning it down because there are some things that you weren't truthful and up front about when I asked you about the car. I think I can at least make a very small amount out of it by selling the hood.

For example:

I asked if you had a clear title in hand, you said yes. Come to find out after driving an hour and a half, you have an abandoned property registration and a title application.

I asked if there were any dents or rust, you said no except for one small dent. Actually, the front bumper is cracked right down the middle, there is a huge spot of rotted out sheet metal on the passenger quarter panel, and the various dents on the car can be hard to point out because the whole car has been spray bombed about 6 times with different colors and it's all falling off the car now.

I'm going to be pulling the intake and heads off the block this week, and I hope you at least told me the truth about the bloak being fresh. At this point I really doubt that you had a machine shop stroke it to a 383, I just hope it's the actual 350 you say you bought from North Dakota and that it checks out.

I'll wait until I check out the block before I leave any feedback on this one. I think you should have been more truthful with me. I feel that this post is very easy on you, if you hadn't come down from $300 I'd be pretty heated right now. I'm crossing my fingers that at least the block is good. The whole interior is trashed. Not a sigle thing inside the car can be used. Basically all I got out of this is an aftermarket hood and hatch.

Re: '87 Iroc Fresh 383 Stroker TPI

I got there right before it turned dark after driving an hour and a half to pick it up. When I get there, it's nothing how he described it...and I basically told him that it's not what I was expecting and that I was going to cut my losses and eat the $100 in gas it was going to cost me to drive down and back with a 2500 Chevy pickup and a trailer...I got almost to the highway and called him just to see if he'd take $150 because at least I could make my gas money back in selling the Daytona hood. He was hesitant, but took the lower offer.

I just got home with it and really don't feel positive about the whole deal. I just want to get my money back by selling the fake notch back and the fiberglass hood and be done with it. Like I said, I'm going to pull the heads off this week, and I really shouldn't expect anything positive with my findings based on how dishonest the whole deal was.

Dishonest? I sent you pictures of the interior and everything. I'm sorry my family gave you the wrong impression on me. How bout you save your comments until you verify the motor then give me an apology. And I believe you called me back after you left. My cousin is mad at me now that I didn't sell him the motor after you turned around. You can apologize later. I have no reason to lie to you! Either or I got my car and the one you got was going to the city, the hood cost more than the $150 you gave me plus the t-tops!
You didn't have to take it you know, especially when you call me back. I just didn't wanna have you come all the way here and go home with nothing so I agreed to your low price cause simple put I could care less about that car!
You heard my other Iroc!

I turned around and made you a $150 offer because I knew if I got it that cheap, at least I'd make my gas money back selling the hood off this piece of crap.

You really think i'd make this stuff up without proof of what I'm accusing you of? Please man...

I gave you not one, but TWO chances to come clean here before I even drove down to pick it up.

Do any of these look like a title? I have an inspection, a bill of sale, and a lost property bill of sale. Nothing here looks like a "clean title, in hand".

If it wasn't pitch black dark outside I'd go take pictures of this "rust free, dent free" car you claimed you were selling. But don't worry, I'll get plenty of pictures tomorrow for you and everyone else to see.

I think you may want to let them settle this man to man. Not Man to man to man.

There's nothing to settle...He called back after he left but still got the car. For $150 his really being unfair and once he starts the motor or break it down he will be happy and realize he was wrong! Of course he's the site hero!
BTW I smoked a Mustang GT Last Night 3 car doors! HA!

Re: '87 Iroc Fresh 383 Stroker TPI

KamikazeIroccy, just curious - why did you lie about the other things? Namely the title. I can see that being negligent on not closely inspecting for rust, but if someone is going to be investing time/money to look at something you are selling ... you know? It may be wise next time for you to fully inspect and be completely truthful. We are only given one name in life, so we must make it good.

BlueZee28, Thank the Lord this is something you will be able to make money on at least. I have had bad dealings with many people in the past (i.e. sold me cars with busted trans, fake ws6, etc.) but many times, I'm able to still make my money back. It has always irked me, but sadly enough, many people just plain aren't truthful people.
