I'm looking for a set of pre 1991 Firebird headlight trim pieces. The pieces that attach to the headlight cover and act as a trim/bezel around the outside of the headlight. They also have "PONTIAC" scripted on the driver side piece in either silver or gold. Looking for them in okay condition or better. If they aren't cracked, I'll take em. Shipping will be to 60172.

 

What is the piece actually called, because I'm having a hard time looking it up. I plan on cutting part of it up and using it for a projector retrofit.

 

My father-in-Law painted these black and then never used them. I found out these bezels were from an 82-84 Firebird. They are a bit "square" on the end compared to the 85+ headlight bezel that is more "rounded". I do not know the difference in the 91+ version.

These are EXACTLY what I was looking for. The 91's and up didn't use them because when the headlights are down they're flush with the bumper. So the trim piece is much different. I also did not know about the pre 86 difference. I'm interested in these, any chance you can hold them for a few days?

I edited my last post. The black BEZELS pictured above are from an 82-84 FIREBIRD ! The 85+ Firebird Headlight Bezel was more "rounded" and looked like this: ( an 89 Formula headlight pictured below. )

Think they're interchagable?

 

I KNOW that the system uses the exact same motor and housing & I'm almost 100% positive that the bezel will screw right on. I just don't know how it will look when it's closed. Here's an 84 headlight plugged into Big Johns' 86.



Looking at this pic made me realize that my first attempt to date the black bezels was wrong ! I'll re-post with an update tomorrow.

I've been unable to come up with a "rounded" pair of Bezels for Ya'. I almost posted last night - but had one more place to look this morning. No Luck !

 

Update: I found a pair...... The finish isn't as nice - The emblem is gone but they are uncracked and in pretty good shape. Price and shipping is the same, just send me a PM for the details if your still looking !

Mike, the 82-84 pieces do interchange 100% with the 85+ ones. I used the older ones on mine as well.

 

I think I'm gunna stick to the 85+ pieces to blend with the lines on my car.
