15x8" weld pro stars on '92 1le rear
i swapped a 1992 1le differential into my 1986 sport coupe. my original wheels will obviously not fit over the 1992 1le aluminum calipers. i have a set of 15 x 8" Weld pro star rims that need to go on this rear. question is if they won't clear, how much grinding will i have to do on the calipers to attain adequate clearance? will the grinding of the cooling/ support fins affect performance or reliability in any way? i know there are new weld pro stars with more clearance, but i already have the original ones. i would prefer to keep these rims if i can due to financial reasons.
any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated!
thank you!

I was able to bolt up a set of Z28/RS 15" 5 spoke wheels to my 92 rear with PBRs with no clearance issues at all.
