91 Camaro Convertible - $1000
This car has been for sale before, but I have cut the cost by more than half due to unforeseen circumstances.
Long story, but condensed: I bought the car a couple of years ago at auction with a blown motor. My family was in the middle of moving from MA to VA, so all the documents and paperwork with the car (including all my engine rebuild books) went into a box and the car came down to school with me so I could start rebuilding it. My folks lived in an apt. for 2 years due to the outrageous housing prices in Northern VA, and our belongs remained in storage while I worked on the car. I swapped the engine and transmission, and started re-doing the interior. We bought a house last summer and our stuff came out of storage, only a number of garage boxes went "missing". All of our power tools and misc. others, including all the paperwork for the car. -So, there is NO TITLE. The moving company covered the costs of everything lost, but a title isn't really a monetary thing. If I had registered it before the move, I could have gotten a replacement no sweat, but because I intended to wait and do it all in VA so it would only require one trip, I'm SOL.
My loss is your gain. I'm selling the car as a running, driving parts car. If you can apply for and get a title, great, you got a thirdgen convertible for almost nothing. If not, the parts alone are worth well over the $1000. I'm moving (graduated from school and starting work) and simply don't have the time or enthusiasm to file all the paperwork to try and get a title.
Parts include:
-Good condition 305 and 5 speed - 70K miles on the swap, about 140K on the car itself. It runs and drives quite well.
-4th gen cloth Trans Am seats in great shape
-All convertible specific parts (spoiler, interior panels etc.) are there, these are usually worth good money.
-ALL CONVERTIBLE TOP HARDWARE WORKS, though the top itself is in lousy shape, a new top and you'd be in business.
-16" Z28 wheels in good shape (tires are bad though, the sidewalls are cracked)
PICS:
